"We had 3 estimates done on replacing the siding on our 2-story chimney. It had been damaged by squirrels who had taken up residence (we had our exterminator come and clear out the nest and patch the holes, but the siding itself was damaged). Robert was the first one to respond, the first one to submit an estimate (it was submitted the day after the request was made...one of the other estimates didn't come in until almost a week later!), and provided us with an estimate that was significantly below the other two that came in. He was professional and understanding of our need for an accelerated timeline (the property standards "police" in our neighborhood are vigilant, and we didn't want a citation!), the crew was great, Robert's communication was top-notch, and we're VERY pleased with the experience from start to finish!"

"Swift and fast service. Alex hopped on top of the roof and gathered his information. He then spoke to the insurance company and provided the needed information with photos seamlessly. Within one week it was approved and work commenced. Two days of work and the project was completed. The crew cleaned up well. Even used a magnetic device to clean the yard of all metals and nails. I will be referring DFW Roof Guys in the future. Great work and painless process."

I had roof damage from the hail storm that moved through the McKinney area in March of 2017. I contacted Braden from Acclaim (he had previously been by my house & did a roof inspection & wanted to repair the roof at that time but I hadn't owned it when I'm guessing another storm had been through) and setup an inspection. So far, so good. Braden was out to inspect within a day or two & we worked with my insurance adjuster to get that part done. When my insurance came to inspect they noticed screen damage on all of my windows so that was written in as well. I bring this up to say that the sub-contractor they used to have this work done was extremely professional and took great pride in his work. Sorry for the digression: back to the roof repair review. Boiled down, during the roof replacement a small section of decking was damaged (see attached pictures). I sent the pictures to my insurance company & Acclaim also contacted them to ask for additional money to repair the damaged decking but my insurance company noted that the damage wad not part of the storm damage that it was caused by the contractor's that were working on my roof. So I'm putting this review out here to show the damaged decking (see attached pictures) & hopefully I can come back and edit my review to show that Acclaim fixed the damage caused by the repair. To date I've been unhappy with how this has been handled - Acclaim says that the builder used "cheap material" to put the roof on originally & that that is the cause. However, it is only damaged in the areas I've shown & if the decking was in such bad shape why wasn't this mentioned on the original inspection of the roof. In any case, I'll follow up here and list the final resolution with pictures and more details.

Acclaim (Lloyd & Whitney) got back with me and they arranged to replace the decking that was damaged and make my roof look (internally & externally) awesome. I appreciate them for taking ownership of the issue because in their view it was something that my insurance company should have paid for. They came out, pulled the old damaged decking out and put in new decking and shingles. Everything looks as it should."

"I called Carlos with Allstar painting to get a second quote for my painting job.  He arrived that evening and gave me a fair estimate on the spot. I decided to go with Allstar because of good reviews and reasonable pricing and the impression that the work would be started and finished right away without delays.  Carlos and his team showed up as scheduled and started right away on the project which started on a friday and ended on Sunday.  We had a day of rain or the job would have been finished a day earlier.  Carlos was very patient with me and all my questions regarding painting technique and paint quality.  He even helped me avoid a disaster with a shade of red that I had picked out for my door by recommending another shade, which turned out beautifully!  Everyone was polite, efficient and cleaned up after themselves each day.  I plan to use Carlos with Allstar Painting for my future interior projects.  I liked that there were no surprises with pricing and the quality of work is top notch.  I will and have recommended Carlos to my friends and neighbors.  You really cant go wrong with them!

"I contacted Steve at Texas Roof and Fence last fall to get bids on my house and a rent house that had hail damage.  he was very responsive to those requests and quickly got me a bid.
I'm probably not the easiest customer to do business with and I wasn't thrilled with some of his terms and conditions so he agreed to changes I requested.  I'm not sure why but it took a few months to get his signed agreement back to me.  My impression is Steve has a lot of balls in the air and sometimes thinks he has done something he hasn't. 
The roof replacement was done last week.  I am still waiting on the barn roof and gutters which were supposed to be done this week but it's not looking like they will be.
Steve set a high bar and high expectations committing to cleaning up daily which his team didn't do.  He also told me when they cleaned up it would be spotless which it wasn't.   Steve said it was unrealistic to expect they would get more than 99% of the nails, etc.
He may have done better than most roofers would have.  I had high expectations based on the strong reviews he had on Angie's List and in Denton and his representations which fell a little short.  Not sure how much of that is because my expectations were too high and some because his crew or he didn't do what he said they would.

I can't say enough good things about these people!  I had a leaky bathroom faucet.  Two weeks ago I had another plumbing company who was also highly rated on Angie's List and who I have used many times in the past (but never again) look at the problem.  The technician from that company said I needed to replace the faucet. They were going to charge me $250.00 for the replacement faucet plus  $229.00 for the labor to install it. Since the faucet had been discontinued I was going to have to replace the other faucet in the other sink as well so it would match.  This was going to cost me $958.00.  I wanted a second opinion so I called Mark Masters Service Company that I also found on Angie's List. Seth, the technician was a very nice young man.  He showed up right on time. Within 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem as simply being a bad rubber washer that needed replacement.  I did not need to replace the faucet after all. I was only charged the minimum $79.00 service charge.  Mark Masters company saved me $879.00 !  By the way, the other company also charged me $79.00 for their service call which was totally worthless.

There were no surprises or unexpected costs."
