"The whole process, from the initial call to the installation was terrific. All done within 24 hours. Patty and Tony where terrific. What a great company to do business with. The two techs, Steve and Anthony, that did the install were personable and professional. They were there when they said they would be. They hauled away my old heater and had a new 400k btu unit installed in about an hour. Everything worked and was compatible with my remote system. This is a company you can rely on when you are in need of service."

"It was very good, they came on time, explained what was wrong. They replaced the sprinkler heads and I think they adjusted one. They worked wonderfully so I have no problem with it."

"Their first trip with the liner and coping couldn't have been better. The price was by far the best from all that we looked at and they were able to replace the liner and secure the coping beautifully. We wanted to tear up the bricks around the pool and put in concrete and they gave us their mason who specialized in pool masonry. They did an excellent job and were very thorough. They did it all in one day. Their second trip this season was when we found out that our pipe from our pump to our pool underground was cracked and we had water coming into the yard. We called them on SUNDAY!! And they answered! They showed up the very next morning and fixed it for a very reasonable rate. We did have to dig up the pipe ourselves but it saved us money and time so it was fine. All in all these are now our go-to-guys for our pool. They are more than professional and since they are a young group their rates are better than competitive. You won't be sorry you went with them. They are very knowledgable and work very dilligently."

"Original contractor who was going to install my heater was injured and couldn’t complete the project. Took 3 months of looking around to finally get someone to call me back. Finally stumbled upon Anas on HomeAdvisor and they came immediately and did the work all in one day. Literally came in, quoted me, and got the job done immediately. My employees are all very happy with the job."

"Went well.  Weather was uncooperative so it took longer than expected.  Not the fault of Alpha Construction or Andreas.
Andreas was very knowledgeable and used high quality materials and pool equipment.  Andreas set up the pool with salt and came back in the fall to close it up - service was included with the price of the pool. Overall, we were very satisfied with the process and we absolutely love our new pool!"

FAQs for hot tub or spa installation and replacement projects in Jersey City, NJ

Annual hot tub upkeep costs between $500 and $1,000, covering deep cleans, filter changes, and chemical maintenance. Plan to drain and clean the tub every few months to maintain its cleanliness. Hiring a professional for routine service costs $50 to $300 per visit, while most repairs range from $160 to $500. Staying on top of maintenance helps keep the water clean, protects components, and extends the spa’s lifespan.

The lifespan of a hot tub depends on its build quality and maintenance. Budget models may offer five years, mid-range units reach 10 years, and premium spas can last up to 20 years. Protect your investment with professional installation, a solid warranty, and routine care—clean water, balanced chemicals, and timely filter changes. Consistent upkeep is the easiest way to add years to any tub.

How much electricity does a hot tub use?

Most homeowners spend $20 to $30 per month to power a hot tub, although actual usage depends on factors such as size, insulation, temperature settings, and how often you use it. Choose an energy-efficient model, keep a tight-fitting insulated cover in place, and add a thermal blanket or solar heater to curb costs. Clean filters and balanced water chemistry also help the heater run at peak efficiency, trimming utility bills over time.
