"We have worked with Just Blinds on two separate occasions to install new blinds throughout our house. From start to finish, everyone we've worked has been exceedingly professional. They are always on time, and are happy to schedule appointments to fit to your availability. A few of the installed blinds had issues due to manufacturer defects, and Brent was able to come out immediately and either repair the blinds on-site or make sure that replacements were ordered from the manufacturer. We've had nothing but positive experiences with Just Blinds and couldn't be happier with the customer service that they provide."

"D&R had the lowest quote for the work among the several companies we contacted.  Doug and Rusty worked methodically and efficiently over a two-day period.  They cleaned up as they moved from room to room, and the new windows look great.  We hope to see a measurable improvement in our gas bills this winter.  After they finished, I did notice that one of our marble window sills was cracked.  I called Doug, and he came out to look at it.  He said he would have another sill made and install it.  It took a couple of weeks, but he replaced the sill in about twenty minutes, and it looks as if the crack never occurred.  We are very satisfied with the job overall."

"I originally had another window company come out and give me an estimate to fix the broken glass in my window. They told me my windows were too big and they wouldn’t be able to do it without replacing the entire window. I reached out to Window Guru’s to get another opinion and right away they said they could replace the broken glass in my window without replacing the entire window and it was a fraction of the cost the first company quoted. They came out a few weeks later and replaced the glass in about 20-30 minutes. It looks perfect. Definitely pleased with this company and will definitely do business with them again. I’ve already recommended them to a few friends."

"The total job involved replacing the balances in eleven windows and repairing three screens. Tom returned to do the work, and he did a great job. He completed the work in less than a day. And now the windows work like new. We couldn’t be more pleased."

"First Class Glass removed the damaged window glass without any damage to the surrounding frame.  A minimal amount of touch up is needed to exterior paint which will take about five minutes.  Dana told us how the project would proceed.  When he had the replacement glass in his shop he scheduled the work for a Saturday.  He arrived as scheduled.  Overall, the work took a couple of hours.  Also, he did a nice job of cleaning up afterward and washed the window inside and out.  He was friendly and professional. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Johnstown, OH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
