"The sales office was good, displays good, response to measure house was prompt, I felt installation took to long after paying down payment of $1100.00 to order carpet, it was done 9 days later, plus installer did not clean up after installing new carpet, there were installation nails left inside the house, pic below, and on drive way, carpet padding trash, bits and pieces were not picked up, pic below, bits and pieces of carpet installation, and carpet fuzz everywhere, not vacuumed, very unprofessional considering i paid an additional $1079.0 for installation, carpet trash also left in closets, where carpet was installed, lots of fuzz, fibers, , I had left the sales office a voicemail on a question on when the carpet would be installed after leaving a downpayment, and I was not called back, plus after carpet was installed i was not emailed a receipt until i notified the office by phone that i wanted a receipt for the installation charge."

"

It was excellent. They were very professional, very accommodating. We had a minor snafu with the first set of drapes and that when they were shipped Parkway to Dallas, Parkway to here, and because they were late they gave us a discount. They worked it at our own convenience in here and get them set up and it was really good. Then, the second time, everything went perfect. Their installers are really trustworthy and professional. We were really surprised. We heard about Arrow a lot and figured with a big company like that probably was going to be terrible, but it has been a wonderful experience. We had expensive drapes done, but oh my gosh it was beautiful.

We've used them twice. We've used them for the drapes the first time around and wanted to see how they did with our main living area. Like I said, it's just astounding how beautiful it is and then we chose them to come again and do our master's bedroom suite.

"It was expected to be a 2 day job and would require scaffolding. Charlie’s team got it all done in 1 day using ladders, which saved me time and money. His team was very courteous, professional and did an amazing job with the repair. It looks as though there was never any damage."

"We replaced all the carpeting on the main level of our home with laminate wood flooring.  Kyle, the owner was fantastic to work with offering us suggestions and working within our defined budget.  Kyle came to our house with a bunch of samples and took the time to explain the pros & cons of each while we settled on the sample which we wanted to install.    The installers where professional, well mannered and took great care while in our home.  They truly know what they are doing and have a great system of team work to accomplish a job with minimal impact / disturbance to the owner.   Kyle and his team are professional, they care about their customers and did not try to push into something we couldn't’t afford or didn’t want.    I fully recommend Kyle and Hometown Flooring."

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in Karnes City, TX

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
