"This was our second major siding project with C&T. One on our prior home and now this one. First class workmanship and close attention to detail. Start date was delayed but staff worked with us and end result was worth it."

"Fantastic--Alex is prompt and does excellent work. I had all of the very old window screens in my home replaced, including one screen that needed to be made from scratch due to a bent frame. A few years ago, Alex made a new frame for a screened patio door with great results, so I asked him to redo the screens on the windows this year. Alex arrived promptly, removed the window screens, replaced the screens, made a new frame and screen for one window, and then put the window screens back in. He worked efficiently, is friendly, and his price was more than reasonable. I'm very happy with my new screens and just as happy that I know who to call if I need additional work--Alex aka The Screen Guy. Thanks, Alex!"

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"The job went very well. Barak, the company owner, came to our house to see the deck, evaluate everything, tell me what was needed, and give me a quote. He told me that the deck floor boards needed to be replaced, which I had already expected. Barak told me about all the options, their related costs, when they could start, and how long it would take. He started on time and made progress without delay. When Barak found that there was additional rotting of the stringers supporting the stairs (from the patio up to the deck) he pointed this out to me and we discussed what was needed and what choices there were. He was very accommodating with regard to getting the additional work done in a timely manner. He spent the extra time required to get additional materials, the additional time to rebuild the stairs, and ended up charging me a very reasonable additional cost when this is the kind of thing other contractors take advantage of. All things considered, I?m very pleased with how the whole job went and have a lot of trust in Barak and New Again Deck Renewal."

"Excellent. Not only was painting performed expertly, the company provided additional advice and work on the porch that brought out the historical details of the house. Also, as their name suggests, they provided outstanding guidance on color selection and color blending. Their work completely transformed the house and we have had an overwhelming response from the neighbors (and my wife, which counts the most!)."

"<p>Our project involved a complete exterior renovation of our rambler-style home.  We sought a new roof, new siding, new soffits, fascia, and gutters.  We met with no fewer than 6 contractors and ultimately received 9 bids/quotes.  Three contractors offered what amounted to two quotes each.</p> <p>Our roofing needs were essentially wide-open.  Siding was to be James Hardie and the soffits, fascia and gutters were to be aluminum or Hardie.</p> <p>Each contractor had a slightly different slant on this, that or the other thing.  Some put on big productions that were unnecessary and wasted our time.  Others just did not seem to want do what we wanted, but rather what they wanted to do.</p> <p>Above and Beyond, from our first contact, at the St. Paul Home and Patio Show, seemed to be a cut above the others (no pun intended).  When we met with them in our home a few weeks later, to discuss details they showed why they are better.  We were discussing the fascia ? Hardie vs. aluminum - and they indicated that they would do whatever we wanted but that putting Hardie up (at higher cost) then covering it up with gutters was not the best use of materials or our money.</p> <p>We elected to go with Above and Beyond and their partner (for the roof) Royal Restorations.  The pricing was not the lowest nor was it the highest, all things considered.</p> <p>We now have a completed project.  The roofing and siding are spectacular.  The workmanship is outstanding.  All of the fascia and the window wraps were custom measured, cut, and bent on site.  When they did not work out they were pulled off and re-done (and there were few instances of this).  They did many small tasks that were not required, but made the job that much better.  They consulted us on suggested changes or improvements.  When we pointed out things we thought were a bit off they were promptly corrected without complaint.</p> <p>We can never say enough good things about Above and Beyond and Royal Restorations.  We would have them back into our house on a moment?s notice without reservation.</p>"

"They did a good job but I would have brought in an architect to straighten out some of the details that were overlooked or missed but that is probably the only problem I had with them, but then again it is not their fault, it is my own fault for being short sighted.  We didn’t know what we were doing anyway, does anyone?!  We haven’t done an addition on the house before and we have been in this space for thirty-five years.  We put in a lot of windows in it and it looks like a three-season porch but it isn’t, it is actually a four-season porch and the guy really knocked himself out getting it designed but when it came down to building it , not so much.  I ordered a Chalet look to windows on the east side of the house where the addition is, and it didn’t occur.  I asked him if there was any way to change that and he said no, so I let it go but it turned out be a favor because the ferns will now get watered better from the rains.  I wanted that European feel but that is my own quirk, I can't fault him for it at all but I wish I had known because we could have put it in the design easy enough and got it done, had we known ahead of time what they were going to do.  They put the footing down in May 2012 and they weren’t done until the end of July 2012 but it was not their fault because we had a lot of rain then.  The original quote was around a $100000 and even with the overruns, it came about $25000 under than the other bid we got, which is fair enough.   They subcontract the work and the workers that they bring in are excellent and have been with the company for fifteen to twenty years and are so happy to have the job that they knock themselves out to do the job right, that you will not get disappointment, which is my advertisement for Sussel."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Kasota, MN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
