"The rep showed up on time. Inspected the chimney with a flexible probe fed from the inside up into the chimney as well as getting up on the roof and visually inspecting the chimney from the roof. He was very honest and said there was no build up and a cleaning was not needed. I was appreciative of not charging me for unneeded services. Consequently, the fee was less than quoted. "A neighbor mentioned that they had experienced a leak in their bedroom ceiling and when they checked it out, the roof was in fact leaking. He had an inspector come out and they discovered hail damage. My home is of similar age and the roofing material identical so I decided to have my roof inspected. I used Affordable Quality Roofing, since my daughter used their company for siding damage to her home from a storm last year. There were complications due to matching materials no longer being available and they worked diligently with her insurance to find a solution and give her beautiful results. They keep storm records and we did indeed have sizable hail in May of last year. They were very careful due to Covid-19 and wore masks or socially distanced while the work was being performed. Larry made a point of being here to meet with the insurance adjuster and inspector to make sure all damage was evaluated. He was the face of the company and handled all contract, payment and punch list items after the install. It was nice to deal with the same person start to finish, like your satisfaction really mattered to this company. I believe it would be in everyone’s best interest to schedule a FREE inspection with Affordable Quality Roofing because they are Honest (NO pressure and will tell you if you have damage before you make a claim with your insurance company), Reliable (always showing up exactly when they said they would), and Efficient (work was done quickly and my yard was left as if they had never been here)."

"Mr. Bowen completed all work in a timely manner.  He was very professional and personable. I haven't had any leaking or other problems with the chimney or either fireplace.  I would certainly call him again if I had any type of problem with my chimney or fireplace. He was forthright and explained the problems to me, and told me the final cost before starting the work.  The cost for the work was very fair.  <br /> While Mr. Bowen was here to assess the problem with my fireplace, he fixed the damper on my downstairs wood stove (at no charge), and told me it had just gotten rusty.  (Another person I called to look at it gave me a really high estimate and said it would have to be replaced!) <br /> Mr. Bowen had also previously solved another problem I was having with smoke coming back into the house, due to the two flue openings on the chimney being the same height.  He quickly fixed that problem by raising one of the flue openings an extra 6 inches by installing a flue extension, in March 2015.  Also very fairly priced, and I am happy with the results.  <br />"

"BUYER BEWARE. At first things went well. We had filed with our insurance company because of damage from the storms last spring. After agreeing to a contract with a young co-owner of the company who we came to respect and trust, the roof on our house and garage were replaced. They also put a roof vent on and needed to add vented soffits. Since some of the gutters were bad, we also had them replace them to avoid damage to the new roof, but learned that the areas where they were attached were rotted in some places. The partner who was supposed to be onsite to supervise sat in his car smoking the when he was here with an unsurprising result. Some, but not all of the soffits were replaced with vented ones. Debris, including nails that were to have been cleaned up were not, resulting in a foot injury for my dog. Over the coming months different people showed up at different times. One, apparently another partner, suggested wrapping the front wood on the garage near the roof. I said that would probably be a good idea, then the young man with whom we had agreed to the initial contract emailed me to say how much it would cost and I said that I did not want to do that. UNFORTUNATELY, I agreed to a contract that had a price per foot for fascia and fascia wrap, and mistakenly assumed based on the heads up on the garage that if the price was significant, I would be so informed before replacement started. BIG MISTAKE. I was sent a bill for $1825 for gutters and fascia and $2117.50 for the "services" of the fascia and fascia wrap. I also didn't stay outside for all the work and stop them, as I wasn't feeling well. I NEVER would have agreed to that, especially since almost all of the replaced fascia was on the garage. The young man had to come out himself to get the soffits done correctly and get all the nails picked up. All I can add is cavaet emptor, latin for let the buyer beware!"

"The team was very responsive and showed up on time. They were able to do the work the week of Thanksgiving. Work was done in a timely fashion. They did the roof in 2 days and a few hours the morning of the 3rd day. Gutters and gutter guards were done in a half day at the end of the week by separate team. They offered Free Gutter Guards with Angie List member, so that was a plus in their favor. In general, we are please with the job and would recommend to anyone needing a roof and gutter replacement."
