This is because back in early 2018, the Washington DC metro area had a powerful wind and rain storm that damaged numerous properties in the DC metro area. Roofs were completely blown off, trees fell on houses, cars, flooding some places. It was a mess and roofing companies were getting hundreds of calls a day and were completely overwhelmed and booked out for months at a time. I had a hole in my roof where the roofing tiles had blown off. I first needed a tarp on my roof to cover the hole to keep my house from experiencing further damage, and then I needed the whole roof replaced. Gutter Ethics LLC came to my rescue and immediately tarped the hole in my roof and put me on their schedule replace my roof. I can tell you from personal experience Gutter Ethics is an honorable and more than competent company. My new roof which was installed looks beautiful and I have had absolutely no problems since. As promised, Carmine called when he was 45 minutes away from our house so I had plenty of time to leave work and meet him.  He was friendly and extremely professional, even asking my permission before entering the house. He even asked me if he could call me "Steve", or would I prefer Mr. Carr. He and his worker Bill were clean and dressed nicely. They spread a blanket in front of the fireplace and cleaned up when they finished. They noticed a water stain on our living room ceiling and offered to check the flashing on the roof. They found a three inch hole and fixed it immediately, provided us with a 7 year warranty. Colonial was half the price of the other Chimney sweeps on Angie's List and it's hard for me to imagine anyone providing better service.

"I bought my current SFH home in June 2014 and wanted some small odd jobs done shortly after moving in.  Nothing major, but more than I could handle as a former condo owner.  I consulted Angie's List for some handymen services and rounded up four candidates to give me estimates.  Matt was very professional and answered all my questions without being condescending or dismissive.  His quote seemed fair in comparison to some of the others I got.  And he was flexible and pleasant to deal with, by both email and in person.  Once I hired him, I was glad I did.  The work quality has been excellent all around.  I have been very pleased and hope to be hiring him again soon to do a few more jobs around the house.  We had one small hiccup with the caulking in the bathtub not curing properly. "Highly recommended!  I contracted with Brick Solutions owner, Joe Walls, to have a badly damaged concrete driveway replaced with brick pavers.  I had previously gotten estimates for replacing the driveway with new concrete but I was concerned about damaging the roots of a very old tulip poplar tree adjacent to the driveway.  When the concrete contractor informed
me if he didn?t cut the roots he couldn?t guarantee the concrete but if he did cut the roots he could not guarantee the tree would survive, I decided to go with brick.
Joe said he could do the driveway without damaging the roots.  He broke up the old concrete with a jackhammer rather than bringing in heavy equipment.  We consulted with an arborist who told Joe what could or could not be cut.  When our plan to save a portion of the old concrete did not work out because it was too cracked Joe volunteered to break it up and replace it
with brick at no extra charge.  He worked carefully, followed all out suggestions, and managed to give us a smooth brick
driveway that looks much better than what we had before.
In short, Brick Solutions did a great job for a reasonable price and it was pleasure to work with Joe.

Initially, he seemed like he was very very knowledgeable, very friendly and gave us thoughts that he knew what he was doing. They arrived on time. They're very good. The crew was pretty quick and efficient. One problem I had was they didn't come with enough materials. They had to reschedule for a completion of some. There were some minor issues that we ran into. They were supposed to paint the chimney cap and never actually did that. It's not a big deal but the other thing was the warranty and we kind of had a fight with them for the warranty to actually be processed. The warranty was the big thing and it was a lifetime warranty and I guess there were personal things that came up. It was just basically what I've learned late, but it took us probably eight months to get the warranty to be processed. That was my biggest concern, but the warranty company ensures me that everything is good even though the paperwork has the wrong number on there and I am assuming that's because they had the wrong number initially which is why they didn't have enough material.

"Ronnie was very thorough looking at the chimneys and analyzing our needs to give us an accurate quote. He thoroughly talked through the quotes and allowed me to ask many questions. When he came to do the job, he brought a helper (Big John). The two guys completed the job in a few hours, stacked the excess bricks nicely, and cleaned up after themselves. When doing the chimney sweeping, Ronnie laid out large cloth tarps to catch any falling ash/dust/debris and used a highly sealed vacuum to clean up inside our house when he was done. He even attached fans to the top of the chimneys to draw a lot of the ash/dust up out of the chimney instead of letting it fall into our living room. I was dreading having our chimneys cleaned expecting it to be a huge dirty mess. Instead, Ronnie and John worked quickly and kept things nice and clean.
As an added bonus, both men nicely talked to my four year old son who wanted to know EVERYTHING that they were doing."
