"I cant say enough positive things about Powers Performance Construction. They gave us the most honest quote, with full transparency as to what the materials costs - including receipts - and then were the kindest and most detailed oriented when it came to the work in our home. Client comes first for these guys. I had thought because it was a smaller job, they might not take it so seriously but these guys exceeded our expectation. 5 stars"

"I found my handy mate from Angie's list. Jasson came to our house for a quote, which was very detailed. The price is fair without hidden cost. It took about three weeks to start the project. There were 1-2 contractors working on it every day, depending on their assignments. I provided the major materials including bathtub, vanity, mirror, tiles and their purchased the rest. The quality of the work looks great! <br />"

"Highly recommended!!! I’m always hesitant when contracting anyone for work on my house, but thankfully I found Steven Drywall & Home Repair. They quickly responded, came for estimate and communicated availability. One of the best things that made me comfortable was, they don’t take any money until they are completely done and you are satisfied. Who does that?...They do! Everyone was so professional, knowledgeable and provided great/timely communication. Great workmanship. We love our new bonus room!!!"

"Gutter Glove of North Carolina staff kept us informed about  work schedule and always kept to this schedule.  They kept us updated on the progress of the work.  All changes that occurred at the beginning of our project were organized so that all aspects of the job were covered.  Follow up with all the people involved to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible was done.  The work was planned to accommodate our specific needs.  The staff not only listened to and fulfilled our requests but thought of additional things to do that we had not even thought of ourselves.  The work site was always left clean and organized.  We could not have asked for or expected any more than what we received.  We will be working with Gutter Glove of North Carolina again in the near future."

"When he calls and says he's coming, he comes. If he's going to be late, he calls and tells you that, too. He also tells you why. Everything is very professional. Everything is cleaned up after he's done. All of his workers are excellent. He just does an excellent job, and everybody he is associated with does an excellent job, too. We've never gone to anybody else."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Kinston, NC

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
