"It was rather easy to set-up a time for a contractor from C&H Gardens to come to our home to give us a quote on a retaining wall.  He arrived on-time and was professional in his appearance and demeanor.  However, he did not bring a packet of material samples nor hardcopies of examples of his company's work.  I felt that he listened well to my concerns and budget limitations.  He then gave me a suggestion of what type of wall and material he would use and drew a rather rudimentrary sketch of what the wall would look like.  He then offered me a quote for the material and labor on the spot.  This was by far the cheapest quote we recieved however, I did not feel that the quality of the product he offered was what I wanted.  I also did not feel like he went in-depth enough into the necessary steps and additional materials (beyond the bricks) that were needed in building a retaining wall.  For this reason and the lower quality of materials offered (possibly due to our budgetary limitations) we decided not to use C&H Gardens.
