"Total cost was exactly as bid - $15.5k for demo and rebuild. 3 weeks start to finish (10 October to 3 November). Fast, efficient work. Great communication. <br /> Excellent communication! We got phone calls each day from both the office (to tell us when the crew would return) and from the project lead (to tell us what had been done and what we could expect next). Every day we knew where we were in the overall project (what was done; what came next) and whether we were on schedule (on schedule, behind schedule, etc.). This was great for us! <br /> One of the reasons we went with this bid over the others, even though it was more expensive, is that it included the cost of the permits in the bid without specifically being asked to. This was important to us, especially for work on a chimney and fire place. We passed all inspections the first time around (no rework). When they were in the house, they as neat as can be. <br /> We didn't have work done on the mantle or surround; just the firebox and chimney. The stucco finish on the outside is well matched to the rest of the house. You'd never know that we had work done. <br /> I have made personal recommendations to friends and colleagues. When/if we end up needing other masonry work (fencing, patio, etc.), I'm definitely inclined to use Boston Brick & Stone again. <br />"

"Steve went to my house gave me an estimate.  He and his crew took extra care in protecting our pool which we had just redone and also protected our neighbors backyard.  Our brick looks great, restored back to the natural stone color.  Two thumbs up !!! <br />"

"I usually don't use the cliche "we couldn't be happier," but we really couldn't be happier with our new paver driveway installed by Falkon. We solicited three bids from companies found on Angie's list. One estimate was really high. A second estimate seemed too good (low) to be true. Based on the Angie's List ratings, I expected Falkon to be about halfway between the two, but the Falkon was almost the same as the "too good to be true" estimate. After researching more and viewing the Falkon website which included past project photos, we selected Falkon for the project. Honestly, at first, I thought Val kind of rushed through the estimate/walkthrough, especially when compared to the experience I had with the other two contractors we spoke with. I'm not saying this to complain. I'm bringing this up to suggest that if you have a similar experience/feeling, don't let that scare you away. Val was always responsive to our needs throughout the decision-making process and the actual project. He never blew us off or made us feel like we were bothering him. Besides, what really counted was the execution of the project and the results. Both were outstanding. Val's crew appeared very experienced. They were punctual and professional. The progress they made each day was phenomenal. We have a pretty large driveway - approximately 1200 square feet with some curving on the borders. Day 1 - Demolished and removed/hauled away old asphalt driveway. Graded soil. Day 2 - Placed underlayments and compacted/graded again Day 3 - Placed all pavers - except for border. Day 4 - Placed bordering pavers and cut inner pavers meeting the border. We requested angled pattern requiring more (and angled) cuts. (By the way, we love the angled paver pattern. Worth the extra effort and cost.) Day. 5 - Filled in gaps between pavers. (about half day). Day 6 - Originally planned, but not needed because everything was completed on Day 5. We highly recommend Falkon Construction for any paver project you are considering."

"recently had Sharon with Cavalier Builder complete my earthquake retrofit, electrical panel upgrade and laundry room. This is my third time working with him and I had another great experience. I’m the kind of person who likes concise and informative reviews so I would recommend Cavalier builders to anyone for three main reasons: Communication, Expertise and Flexibility. Firstly, if you have ever had any work done you know how important quick communication is. I’m a mom of a toddler and I don’t have a lot of free time. Sharon is always so quick to respond and communicates through text, which is perfect for me. Sends quick updates, videos, and in person he is very helpful. I had him come quote me and he gave his opinion on what he thought needed to be done to get my house ready to sell. Sharon even told me what he thought I didn’t need to do, not many contractors would do that. He talks you through every step and his contracts are very detailed so you know exactly what to expect. Sharon and his team have a lot of expertise and are all very professional, this is the third time working with him and everyone has always come exactly on time, been super courteous, finished the project on time and left my house as clean as it was before. Finally, one of my main reasons I continue to work with Cavalier builders is their flexibility. It is a large business but everyone acts like a family. The benefit is that you can get a job done quickly and on time but they will also take on little jobs that are hard to get other big companies to do. I had a roof leak once and contacted a large roofing company, they said they were booked four weeks out, I contacted Sharon and I had it done one week later. I had an old wall heater that was broken and I wanted to remove it. I contacted a large heating and cooling company and they said they wouldnt do it. After three jobs I even recognize faces behind masks and worked with Eddie, Felix, and Sammi a few times. This is so important to know because if you work with someone who has long term employees it says that the work is good and the results are consistent and that the contractor is someone you want to work with."

"WE discussed the option for an entertainment center, fireplace, placement of windows and slider and door into the room.  All took into consideration maximun views of the pool and pergola area of the house.  We also went over the moving of all the pool equipement, electrical wires into the home and removal and replacing of solar panels on the roof.  The representative was cordial and listened to my concerns and addressed my construction concerns.  He also provided me with a verbal estimate to have the whole job done. I found the estimate to be a little high for the addition but in all fairness he was my first consultation and I intend on having at least 2 more done . I would recommend him. <br />"

Installation was done carefully and deliberately over a <br /> period of 9 working days. An unexpected sub-flooring problem was handled <br /> professionally with minimal interruption and job delay. <br />   <br /> We are very pleased with the final product and its <br /> appearance. "I needed to reinvent a bathroom that was stuck in 1980 so I naturally called the same contractor I had used three years prior. Ishai Josh Grimberg from New Age Construction & Remodeling is someone who easily understands your vision and is straightforward in presenting options that shape ideas into solutions. The entire bathroom was gutted since the configuration was outdated with the sink actually positioned in the bedroom. We changed the structure so everything you’d expect to find inside a bathroom was indeed inside which left room to construct a floor-to-ceiling linen closet adjacent to the bathroom, where the original sink was located. Gio, the cabinet maker did a terrific job building the cabinet using a picture I had torn from a magazine in addition to some details he gleaned from our conversation. The result is stunning. This built-in cabinet looks like it was always meant to be in the space and was crafted well beyond my expectations. The bathroom is striking as well; especially the tilework which is really the focal point of the room. I selected very light, almost white large tiles for inside the shower and surrounding walls. The tile was placed in such a way that it almost looks like a continuous piece without seams. I happened to be at home during part of the tile laying process so I witnessed how meticulous that Raul was with this work. He really did an awesome job. The craftspeople that Ishai works with are obviously talented and experts in their field which is just as important as selecting a contractor. I also had New Age Construction create a new exterior window in my family room. This would seem a rather simple job however the two existing windows I was trying to match were located very close to the ceiling making it difficult to install the correct header to satisfy code. Ishai and team were able to resolve this using some creative engineering ideas. He received clearance from a city inspector before pursuing the concept which gave me assurance this was a solid plan. I’d say the best part of working with New Age Construction is that the engagement is a process made up of many steps that all fit together really well in the end. I think sometimes as a homeowner it can be a challenge to remember this during the renovation but Ishai Josh does a good job reassuring and providing status. I find working with Ishai Josh a good experience as he is flexible, listens well and is trustworthy. I would highly recommend this company."

"This job could not have gone better. From beginning to end, this was fantastic. From the first call that was made, Efrain called me back that same day. We made an appointment to see the property and he arrived right on time. He did a thorough review of the situation and made a couple of different suggestions as well as hearing my thoughts and ideas. He was able to provide an estimate right away. It was clearly written out and itemized the process for payment and work to be done. My neighbor and I reviewed the estimate and agreed to the price and terms. Efrain was able to begin within a couple of days. He was right on time, every day, for the entire project. He would communicate each day and inform what the next steps would be. He made sure we understood the process and answered any questions. He also did not hesitate to ask us questions when he needed us to make a decision on some finishes for the fence and gate. EGALD Concrete was outstanding. Each day, the workers would clean up the entire area, prior to leaving. Some items would be piled neatly to the side, but this was an amazing site for a construction site. When the job was completed, right on time and on budget, the wall and the fence look GREAT! I have already asked Efrain to bid on another job at another one of my properties."
