We have almost 100-year-old oak hardwood floors. When they said labor and materials are include in the bid, we should have asked which materials they planned to use. To finish a hardwood floor to them meant using laminate or engineered hardwood flooring, not real wood for hardwood flooring, AND to patch it in (leaving a line), not to weave it in as we wanted to blend it.
