"Outstanding service. Costco subs the work out to an installation firm, but they're so image-conscious that we were confident that Costco's research of the installers was more thorough than any research we would have done on our own. Installers were prompt, clean, efficient, and courteous. Windows look and function beautifully. Price was far and away the lowest of three bids, and no negotiation required. Highly recommend using Costco."

"The whole project was terrific! Misha in customer service/scheduling is a true asset to this company. She stayed in constant communication with me to ensure I was knowledgeable about pricing and product prior to installation. I have old aluminum window frames and was anxious about how the new screen frames would match. She suggested we exchange photos of my frames to their product to determine the appropriate color. I chose the gray, which turned out perfect!! Rich, the Technician, was dedicated, prompt and professional. He constructed the screens in his mobile trailer and installed them in no time! Great company, will use them again!"

"King County Window and glass was awesome! Not only was their quote the lowest their installers were phenomenal. They were professional, yet friendly. Worked around our busy morning trying to get everyone out of the house. They were very nice to our 16mo and 3 year old kids. Also aside from leaving behind beautiful new windows you can't tell at all any work was done. They cleaned up everything related to their work. These guys were so nice and friendly I would invite them over to our house to watch a Seahawks game."

"From the very first contact with Northwest Sheds, I felt that I had made the right choice. They were very understanding of my time frames as I had to attend my Granddaughters Wedding the weekend before starting work. The installer showed up at the scheduled time and looked over what had to be done. He didn't hesitate to get right to work. It onlly took the gentleman 3 hours to build my 10 X 12 shed totally from scratch including the roofing. I was super impressed with his work ethics and drive to be the best at his job. <br /> I would hire this company again on a moments notice with out hesitation........ Thank you Angies List for doing most of my research for the best contractors. YOU ROCK !!!!!!!! <br />"

"It went extremely well. The team of framers assigned to this project was responsible, timely and competent, always demonstrating a commitment toward doing high quality work, and always ready to consult with the owner, amenable to considering owner suggestions and when appropriate, working with him. In addition, they were very good about preparing themselves for the utilization of construction methods not previously encountered, such as using Warmboard for the floor and SIPS for the ceiling/roof. The company owner, Chris Peterson, while not present during the work, obviously set the tone for the cheerful, pleasant demeanor and the high quality work of the teams (framers and project manager). In addition, he was amenable to doing as much as possible to lessen the cost, e.g., allowing the owner to purchase materials when convenient, and allowing the owner to contract for other work, such as roofing, directly, saving the cost to the owner of the necessary contractor markups. He was also good about allowing the scope of the project to be increased with a minimum of fuss. While the project was first to be confined to the attic/dormer conversion, as the work proceeded, it became apparent that this would be a most opportune time to remodel some of the extant first floor substantially. This included removing a non-bearing wall and removing the plaster from much of the walls and ceiling of the old lathe and plaster construction, installing no less than eight new 1st floor windows and removing the old siding and replacing it with new fiber-cement siding on the whole house. Chris estimated the cost of the project as somewhere around $100K. While the ultimate cost of the whole project was slightly more than that, this included costs for many items not included in the original project, such as 1st floor remodeling and window installing and siding the whole house. Indeed, the total cost of Raincap's work, despite the additional work, was slightly less than $70K."

"Pamela and Hal were terrific. They took time to review all options and help me make the right choice. Blinds were expensive, but they look great and Hal did a nice installation job. On time and on their quote."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Lacey, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
