"I feel like I struck gold when I decided to use Matice Home Maintenance for a project involving siding repair and complete exterior painting. Unlike most contractors, Jerry (owner) replied to my initial inquiry promptly, and his communication throughout the process was timely. His "right hand man," Fred, was easy to work with, explained their work when I had questions, and kept the project on track from day one. If you're looking for skilled, courteous professionals whose charges are reasonable, I can't imagine a better contractor to put your trust in. Matice will be my go-to contractor for all my home maintenance and renovations in the future. Thank you, Jerry!"

"Jerred contacted me and scheduled the work after I made the initial call to him. Arrived promptly and completed the work in a timely manner. The quality of the work is excellent as well as the costs associated with the repairs being very reasonable. We will definitely call on Cantrell Construction again for other repair and building needs. <br />"

"Brad was great to work with. Very friendly and confident in his work. The recent cold and wet weather caused a few delays and issues, but when the weather got nicer, they were back on the job and fixed the few minor issues caused by the weather. The limestone foundation was had a lot of cracks and crevices, but was covered very well. Only found a few spots that were quickly fixed where the shadows and cracks hid whether it was painted thoroughly or not. The job site was kept straightened and the crew was courteous and professional. I'm sure I'll have paint work in the future and I know who I will be calling. Highly recommend."

"The porch was initially covered by a pergola that had rotten wood. Nick tore down the pergola and built a Sunroom on the slab. The work was professionally done. Nick was good in ensuring everything was completed to my satisfaction. He was flexible in accommodating changes and in checking on the sub-contractors to ensure they did a good job. The Sunroom looks as if it was part of the original construction. My wife is very pleased with the outcome-happy wife, happy life."

"Donald Bradford is a pleasure to work with. He does amazing work at an extremely fair price, is always on time, and is always both professional and friendly. We've hired him multiple times over the past several years and he's painted and stained just about every inch of our home that requires painting or staining. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good painter in the Huntsville, AL area."

"Job was started promptly and completed on time. They came back out to fix some things that we were not happy with, however, they failed to address some of the original reasons that they were contacted in the first place. The foreman assured us that he would return to do this, however he was a no-show. When we called to inquire about this we were told our message would be passed along, but that's the last we heard from them."

"Thumbs up to David Naumcheff! (256) 316-1041 He contracted a project with me which was completed in a timely fashion and on budget His pride of workmanship is outstanding. I have previously worked with contractors who couldn't or wouldn't get the job done. Please proceed with caution when hiring a contractor. They are not all good guys. David, however, is head and shoulders about the rest. Give him a chance to talk to you. GOOD JOB DAVID!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Laceys Spring, AL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
