Tom was thorough, professional, and friendly. He identified several areas where water was getting in and discussed with us the hazards of corroded breakers (and they were clearly corroded), water sitting on the breakers, and the potential remedies. We decided to replace the entire panel plus the leaking box that held the meter and Tom worked to expidite the extensive project for the next day. Project included shut off of power for entire day with Tom and Nick in and out of the house all day replacing outside box and inside panel with as little disruption to us as possible. Tom kept us updated on progress, encouraged our questions and welcomed our checking in on the work as it progressed. It was as pleasant as a day with workers in and out of your house could be. Plus, since the power was already out and they were here all day, we had asked to add in some of those small electric projects in the house that often never get done. They completed all of them including some undercabinet lighting in a snack area which looks fantastic. Cant stress enough how professional and respectful of our home they were."

"I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.

"Once again Vincent outdid himself.  I called Friday because of a very leaking valve in the basement that led to a very leaky outdoor faucet.  At the last minute I added replacing the strainer in our kitchen sink.  Vincent was able to come the very next day, even though it was Saturday, with no extra charge.  He went to Menards for the parts for the sink as it was a non standard setup.  Then he removed the old valve downstairs and replaced it with a new type that is easier to use and does not leak.  This required cutting copper tubing and soldering the new piece in.  Then he replaced some worn parts on the outside faucet, and replaced the kitchen sink strainer making sure the sink would now old water and there were no leaks under the sink.  The very old and hard to access outside faucet is still dripping, but he offered to come back to check on it.  He was trying to repair it without ripping up any walls- but it is 28 years old.
