"Brian was slow to respond to my request to come and quote on this job, but in the end, made time to come while my sister/'design consultant' was in town. He was late arriving, a bit irritating considering three of the five companies we'd had give quotes WERE on time. He was also slow in getting a written estimate to me, losing us time in selecting who we would select. He is personable and seemed professional enough, though I didn't appreciate his saying that if other companies SAID they didn't use subcontractor they were lying. It may be true (the one we used has used one, once), but you don't have to undermine the competition to make yourself look better. His estimate was, unfortunately, the highest of the five we solicited, higher by $12,000 from the lowest bid we got (which we almost-but-didn't use, going instead with one that is around $8500 lower)."
