I thought I had to choose between the high-cost, glossy brochure, licensed & reputable companies OR the cheap, unlicensed, pushy “if you ask for inspections the cost is double” contractors. Arafat quoted a much more reasonable price, gave excellent advice to help us build what would be most useful, never pressured us, and got all the appropriate permits & inspections. We were probably fairly high-maintenance clients, and Arafat was patient and kind, describing options as we went and modifying a ‘normal’ porch set up to reduce pollen so my highly allergic husband & daughters can enjoy the space. We absolutely love our new 3-season porch and pretty much live out here now. I strongly recommend going with Exterior Works for any outdoor project you have in mind."

"Excellent from start to finish! A+++ Juan arrived on and quickly for our estimate. He was professional and easy to talk to. He gave me an estimate on the spot. When we chose to hire him to build the pantry, his secretary called to confirm the dates and times that the workers would be here. They arrived on time and worked a full day. They returned on time again the second day to finish the project. Very professional company, easy to talk to, and great finished project. "Last October, we contacted four different Angi-recommended contractors to build a screened porch over the largest of three sections of a 20-year-old deck and to replace the old wood decking with Trex. Peter Leoâ s understanding of our project and honest, transparent approach, along with his very reasonable price quote, inspired our confidence. As we were making our final decision, he readily contacted two of his previous customers so we could visit his completed projects, which further convinced us that we made the right choice. Two weeks later, Peter visited to tell us the existing deck structures were sagging and would need to be replaced. By the end of the week, his team had totally disassembled and removed the old deck and shortly thereafter, we witnessed a member of his team screwing 2x2s to his post hole digger to ensure the footers were deep enough. Imagine that: a three-foot hole wasnâ t sufficient so they dug even deeper! Throughout the process, Peterâ s team was efficient, communicative, and responsive to several changes we suggested while the project was underway. Within two months of contacting him, our backyard was transformed into a welcoming oasis with a beautiful 14x20 screened porch, a 14x18 deck and slate patios on each side. As you might imagine, replacing the entire deck structure increased the price above the original quote, but our biggest surprise was the modest amount of the price increase. "From initial estimate to final inspection, the guys with HD are amazing!! Tim came out for the initial estimate, his "presentation" & knowledge was on point. We signed a contract before he left. Questions that came up later were answered immediately either by phone call, email, or both! They started sooner than expected, took care of everything including permits, inspectors & deliveries! The crew arrived on the start date & didn't waste anytime getting started. By the end of day 1, all was ready for the inspector. By day 3, the new screened in deck was solid, complete, & cleared from the inspector!! If I had any complaints, it would be they could have been a little more careful not damage the plants in the flower beds adjacent to the deck. I am so happy with this company, that I will be contacting them in the near future for other projects."
