"Excellent! I called Thompson's Masonry for an estimate on chimney work. Bob came out within 45 minutes of the phone call and determined that we needed some repairs on our chimney, not a complete rebuild as had been told to us by other companies that had come out (rebuild prices ranging from $1500 to over $4000!). He also pointed out some tuckpointing that needed done on other brick on our house. He said he could do the work the next day. The price and timing were perfect, so we hired him. He showed up the next morning when he said he would (he was even a little early...bonus points!) and worked all day. He communicated with me throughout the day re: the progress. He was always courteous, respectful, and just a nice guy! The whole process was a positive one. The finished chimney and tuckpointing look great! "Of the three quotes we got Great Garage was the highest, but we went with them because we felt more confident that they would deliver a higher quality product than the others. Good decision. The price we paid was exactly what was quoted. Demo and construction were delayed a bit because of the unusually wet summer, but they were always here when they said they would be. The different crews (demo, concrete, carpenters, roofing, electrical, siding) were punctual, and performed quality work and kept a clean work area.
