"Linda was great. She asked that I show her all of the plumbing involved and asked for as much information about the situation as I could. After a burst pipe in the cold winter of 2014 (which we fixed on our own), our shower was still not working. Linda assessed the situation quickly, had the necessary part with her, and fixed it in  short amount of time. I think she took less than an hour total, and the shower is working great. Linda was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I hope we have no further problems in the plumbing area, but if we do, I know who to call."

"There was a guy here for about 10 days re-piping my house.  They managed to not rip through my floors or ceilings to get the job done, I was impressed.  Patrick, the owner, stopped by a few times also to make sure the work was being completed.  I highly recommend them."

"I used this service on two occasions in remedying the problem. The first time Brandon came out, on time as promised, and replaced the thermocouple. He discussed with me that there was a possibility this may not be the actual cause of the problem and we talked about other options. He encouraged me to call him again if I needed to. After about a day and a half, the unit stopped working again. By this time I had decided that I didn't want to keep guessing whether changing part after part was worth having Brandon come out time and again so I phoned him and asked him to replace the entire unit. The very next day, he was at my house with a new unit and was done with the job in about two hours. I was very happy that I'd found someone who would do as they said they would and got the problem solved. <br />"

"Showed up on time ,balanced new furnace on bricks found in my yard (not exactly my preference for installation) Damaged a door frame removing old furnace. On the positive side they are friendly and replaced some cracked gas line fittings that could have created a real problem. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lanark, IL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
