Small jobs welcome

"Berryman Plumbing Service provided an excellent water heater replacement service shown in the before and after photographs. The business established its honesty and integrity on our initial conversation and subsequent followup and follow through of the installment intent. Although my request were outside the routine provided services, I was accommodated and the options were met with better than expected results. I recommend this business to anyone who is interested in obtaining spectacular results at a reasonable price."

"It went very well! Tim came to the apartment and looked at the issue. He told me that he will place the order for the new and more efficient unit than the old boiler and install asap. Tim's crew came the following Monday to demolish the old boiler and installed the new boiler on the same day. The new boiler was up and running on the same day. It was a smooth startup!"

"I had a furnace installed in 2016. In 2024 it was leaking into the basement and had rusted in pan due to not installed to drain properly. It was still under warranty but the manufacturer wouldn?t stand behind it - Elite wouldn?t either. I paid for furnace and have had issues since that with leaking into the basement, humidity and fumes, carbon monoxide alarm going off when really cold and have been ignored or told motor oil burning off, fan needed to be turned down, etc. My furnace has run constantly when hot (humidity horrible) - bills higher - heat pump went out during that time-9 years old - was replaced with an air conditioner without letting me know doing this. Upon consultation with another furnace company found that flue was not installed correctly- tape slapped over an approximate 2 inch gap- fumes coming out the back (could have killed me) - other vent left open to the attic sucking hot heat and humidity (only made for 20 degrees difference- not 110 degrees "

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lanesville, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
