"A friend who found ValDel on Home Advisor and used them for her plumbing needs recommended them to me. Iâ m so happy that she did. They were able to schedule a visit within a day of my call. Before Billy Pearsall arrived, ValDel sent me his picture so that I would know who was arriving and when. Billy was on time, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and worked tirelessly. And yes, he wore booties in the house and cleaned up after himself. He completed my list of fixes within just a few hours. 40-year old water pipes were replaced and drain and faucet issues were fixed. Iâ m very satisfied with ValDelâ s service and would definitely recommend them."

"Woke up on a Friday morning to a tepid shower. Clearly the hot water heater (gas powered) had heated its last drop. Water was oozing out of the bottom and the install date (10 years previous by a different home owner) made it clear that the whole thing needed replacing. I phoned Ray Ross on my way to work as he had done some minor plumbing work for me in the past. All I can say is WOW! They worked with me, around my complicated Friday work schedule, and actually installed the new unit before 5:30PM on the SAME DAY. Really unbelievable particularly as they didn't even get the part number from the old unit until late in the morning (my fault; had to race home on my break to get the info). Tim was fabulous, polite, and did a great job on the install. LOVE the new heater (with warranty) and have even noticed an increase in water pressure. Bonus. This was such a wonderful experience, particularly as I was resigned to cold showers for the weekend. Now I'm planning to get RR plumbers back in 9+ years BEFORE another emergency :)"

"Approximately 20-years ago we purchased glass doors for our wood burning FP from Dreifuss and were pleased with the service. We had been contemplating converting to gas fire log insert and after doing some research we decided to get a quote from Dreifuss. The sales people were very knowledgeable discussing pros/cons of vented vs. ventless system and their quote was in line with our expectations so we completed the sale. Installation was scheduled at their busiest time of the year and they clearly advised on 3 - 4-weeks lead time; installation was completed within 3-weeks"

"Ed is a very honest gentleman and an outstanding professional to work with. I had recently moved to my first house and had already incurred a ton of expenses. Since this was an estate deal there were no disclosures on the house. The inspection guy had not done a good job of evaluating the oil heating furnace and the contractor that was working at my place at that time pointed to me few shortfalls in the piping from the furnace. I had never used a oil furnace before and I was very worried of using it. <br /> I contacted Ed with the issue after reading reviews on Angies list and called him for a review and estimate. I was also considering moving from oil to gas but with the recent expenses I was worried if I have to incur another huge expenditure. <br /> So here comes Ed one fine morning, reviews the systems and tells me I know what it is like to own a new house and as I see after reviewing the system you can carry on with your oil furnace without any issues through the winter. That was such a relief for me! <br /> And he gives me the estimate for the furnace cleaning, pipe fixing and to get rid of all the complicated thermostat wiring at my home AND the estimate for changing from oil to gas. He asks me to take a decision and let me know! <br /> I decided to defer the change of oil to gas until next summer and go with the repair work. <br /> Its been couple of weeks since the repairs and its been great so far. I also had to remind them to send me the invoice :) <br /> Ed has earned my trust for sure and even if I have to premium for future services, its going to be with EA Harvey for sure! <br /> On a different note, Bonnie handles all the administrative work and is a pleasure to deal with. <br /> Thanks. <br />"

"Working with Eric was a wonderful experience from the start.  I received a quote from another company that I felt was extremely high for the job. I reached out to Eric for a second opinion.  I explained the situation via e-mail and asked if he could come out and take a look.  He responded right away and was scheduled to come out the following day.  I was working at the time so my husband was home while Eric came to do the evaluation.  He explained everything to my husband, and still reached out to me via e-mail to give me all the details in writing as well.  He gave me a rough estimate of the costs via e-mail (the final cost was going to be determined by how much pipe needed to be cut in case it started to crack as they were repairing it).  I was aware of the maximum cost up front. Total costs for the job ended up being much lower (almost half) of the original quote I received from the previous company I reached out to.  It was well within my budget and Eric worked with me every step of the way so I know exactly what to expect.  He knew our maximum for the job and assured me he would stay within that, if not lower.  Luckily, the bill was much lower than expected! <br /> Prior to the work being done, Eric sent me an e-mail letting me know the names and information for the two men that were going to be performing the work.  The men were on time and did everything in a timely fashion (and clean).  After they were done, I received another e-mail from Eric letting me know exactly how things went .  They also informed me there could be a bigger issue with my sewer pipe.  Instead of charging me an arm and a leg to fix it, he referred me to another company that may be better equipped to handle the situation.  I really appreciated his honesty.  It made me feel like he had our best interest in mind.   <br /> Working with Eric and this company has been an absolute pleasure.  While I hope I do not have any more issues with my home, I know I can use them in the future should anything arise. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lansdowne, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
