"It went great! Patrick came out on a Saturday to see what was causing my line to back up. He used his camera to find mud in a section of my pipe indicating some type of crack or break. Gave me my options for fixing it. He started his repair two days later on Monday and finished up today, Wednesday. They dug roughly, a 4ft by 3ft hole to get down to the pipe and ended up digging two more feet towards the basement to ensure that they connected the new pipe to a solid piece of the existing pipe. Very competitive pricing, I called two other plumbers who were both higher priced by at least 2K and didn't offer as good of a warranty on their work. Very knowledgeable, able to help me understand how my whole sewer system works. Very professional, got the permit with the city, busted the work out, got the job inspected by the city and Closed up the hole. Patrick and his crew were also able to remove a piece of cable that someone previously broke and left in the pipe ( from that machine that rods your line). I highly recommend Patrick and his crew. The peace of mind is priceless! Thank you!"

"Prompt. Professional. Felt I paid a slight premium given the task -- a clogged drain -- but totally worth it since the previous guy rodded the drain 25 feet and still didn't unclog anything, and yet the CSE guy got it done in three feet. I am still trying to figure out the new math here. In any event, would absolutely recommend."

"I hired Do Right Rooter to fix the wye connection from my overhead sewer to the 6” sewer line just outside my house’s foundation wall. They showed up when they said they would show up and finished the project within the timeframe specified. They handled all permits on my behalf. The work was done exactly as stated. I requested additional work halfway through the project and they provided a fair price. Communication with office and field personnel was superb. The office for this company is on top of everything, and that makes a big difference in how the project progresses for its customers. This is a great company/contractor and they’ll be the first plumbers I call if needed in the future."

FAQs for drain line breakage camera locate projects in Lansing, IL

During the inspection, you’ll watch a high-definition video feed that shows exactly what’s going on inside the pipe—everything from minor buildup to major cracks. Your plumber pauses the footage to explain what you’re seeing and why it matters. Bright lights and self-leveling cameras make sure each section is captured clearly, so you leave with a complete picture of your sewer’s health.

Most professionals complete a standard sewer camera inspection in an hour. That window covers setting up the gear, guiding the camera through the line, and reviewing the footage with you. If your house lacks a cleanout and the technician needs to pull a toilet or access a vent stack, tack on a little extra time—and cost—for that added work.

Yes, a sewer camera inspection can help you identify septic system problems. A sewer camera gives your pro a live view of the pipes leading to the septic tank, so they can spot blockages, corrosion, leaks, or other red flags without guesswork. Pinpointing the problem quickly means you can plan the right repair and keep the entire septic system running smoothly.
