"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"They performed quality workmanship through out the whole job of installation of an outside door and installation of new wood flooring in my den. The workers also kept the area clean and debris removed continually throughout the whole project. Also the workers put self sticking felt pads (to prevent scratching the flooring) on the bottom of all pieces of furniture before they returned the furniture to the room"

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"

Richard and Darrell did a great job with a home we purchased that had major termite damaged, they re-framed the whole front, built a new platform, re-painted the celling, and walls of the entire house. They also installed new windows, toilets, front and back doors. The cost also included granite counter tops, redoing the staircase rails and spindles. We had numerous sheetrock damage and repairs done in the home,  the house looks 100% better since all the work has been done and on time.  They worked Monday thru Sunday for three weeks to get to where we?re at now. We have slowed down due placing new cabinets, this was anything with their quote we?re doing this one ourselves and floors. Thanks Richard, Darrel and crew!!

"Roof inspection and cleaned out one gutter and attached a brace to another. Found one vent flashing that needed to be fastened. Roofer said he would send an employee back to complete. Never did send an employee, even after a reminder email.  clm"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in LaPlace, LA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
