"Hayden and Mark F did a great job! I am pleased with their work! My driveway is now level again as are my sidewalk and patio. They had large voids underneath and now feel stable and look great!"

"14 piers were installed and the addition was jacked back into place. They jacked multiple piers at one time. The cracks that had opened up between the addition and the rest of the house were completely or substantially closed. The addition was returned to level. The addition was lifted up to two inches. EFS delivered more than than they promised on the lift. They were able to work next to a deck that was about 6 feet away without removing the deck. One small disappointment was with the back filling after the lifting was complete. The addition is constructed with insulated concrete forms (PolySteel) with a brick ledge that extends out from the side of the wall. There is a drain pipe connected to the down spouts that rests under the brick ledge. The back fill was not sufficiently placed and compacted under and behind the pipe. The ground next to the addition later sank two to three inches after a heavy rain when the voids around the pipe were filled by wet soil. Overall I would grade the job as an A- because of the back filling."

"Our floor has been slanted since we moved into our home. We contacted Aquaguard for an estimate, and they walked us through exactly what they wanted to do to stabilize our floor. We went with them because of the walk through of the c-channel they installed during the estimate process. Everything went well. Our floor is raised and stabilized. It is not perfectly level, but we just did not want to end up in our basement. The guys that came were great, and we would hire them again."

"The company's foundation specialist, Marty, arrived promptly and took time to examine the exterior and interior basement walls. He used a laser level to confirm his findings. Marty explained that my basement was not in need of repair. The blocks were level and the cracks were not significant. I value a company that does not try to sell services that are not needed. I will recommend this company to any of my friends if the need arises. <br />"

"Mr. Garner and his helper showed up on time. They supported the existing awning, removed the old deck and proceeded to built the new deck with 3 steps. They rounded off all the sharp edges which gives a very professional look. They then reconnected the existing awning. They job was done within the stated 2 days time frame. My mother said they were very nice and courteous to her and what she wanted the deck to look like. <br /> She and I are very satisfied with the work they did, all the neighbors are jealous of her new deck. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"MorningStar was very professional, very prompt (same day) to check out our problem, take pictures, etc. We had an estimate the next day, and a final estimate two days later (with our deck material added in, and exactly what we wanted). They showed up every single day on time and spent a good bit of each day at our home working. They worked with us on every detail, and checked that each step was what we wanted. They even put up a barrier each night in the opening for our fence (6 ft. fence) so our dogs couldn't get through when we let them out. From beginning to end (they are finishing up on Monday 11/4/13 - a step for the deck), they were awesome. In a little over a week, we had all that done, and now we have a beautiful new deck. I keep opening the back door just to look at it! <br /> My sister saw the deck for the first time today and said it looked fantastic! <br /> We would readily recommend Morningstar to anyone. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Latrobe, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
