"We were dealing with a relatively major leak in a very old tub/shower. We're planning on a complete re-do within the next few months, but couldn't survive as is and didn't want an expensive replacement that we'd just rip out in a couple of weeks. Other plumbers told us that our 3 handle set-up was just too old and couldn't be fixed, but from the moment Tim came in the door, we were in good hands. He told us he wouldn't leave until he had it fixed and he was a man of his word. He was able to rebuild stems that were at least 30-40 years old. He stopped our leaks and got us fixed so we now have months before we need to get someone in to rehab the bathroom. It's the difference between negotiating a rehab standing on a tightrope and negotiating one with your feet planted firmly on the floor. I have no doubt that he saved us more on the rehab than we payed for the repair. He also installed a new kitchen faucet while he was there. MillTown is now our first and only call for our plumbing/heating/AC/drain cleaning needs."

"I had an incredible experience. My water heater was leaking and ready to let go. Brian had contacted me. He set up an appointment the next morning. The two gentleman ( plumbers ) came in. Removed the old water heater. Installed the New water heater. And updated the vent piping because it was old and out of code. They did a wonderful job. And I cannot speak highly enough of them , the speedy work and their professionalism. I now have a new plumber for all my plumbing needs. Thank you."

"My main service person, Kevin, came in and immediately put on booties. He explained that he would assess the problems and then show me my options and present the costs. When he showed me the options, I was initially surprised by the rates and prices which seemed high to me. Kevin clearly explained the best and worst case scenarios and gave me many options for choosing what work I wanted to do given what I could afford. Another service person, Ari, came to work on the upstairs tub clogged drain. As they were both working upstairs, water started coming through the kitchen ceiling. They immediately halted and came downstairs to help. They placed bowls underneath the dripping areas and then put down a dropcloth. They had to open the ceiling to see where the water was coming from and it was clear that the ceiling was soaked and had been wet for some time. They found a pipe with a big, rusted and corroded hole that was the source of the water. They replaced the pipe and also snaked the line to clear the clog. Kevin replaced the shower valve and installed a new (and better) shower head. Kevin fixed the leaking kitchen faucet. Before they left, they cleaned up every speck and left the upstairs bathroom and kitchen areas cleaner than they were when they arrived. I also have to mention that it was pouring rain throughout the day, and when they had to go out to their trucks they never failed to put on their booties when they came back inside my house. Throughout the day (they were here all day), they were both pleasant, polite and completely professional. Although it cost me more that I had hoped, it was all work that had to be done and I am very pleased with the quality of the work and personnel. I would recommend them."

He started it when he said he would and finished in the time he said it would probably take. He also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Nothing was left for me to do! "When they called (after I assume HomeAdvisor contacted them), I was told it would cost $89 to come out to give me an estimate. I had no problem with that but tried to get some rough estimate on how much a straightforward replacement of faucet would cost - but no estimate. When the plumber arrived, he first tried to get me to join some membership in order to get some percentage reduction in the cost (but I still had no idea of that cost). Bottom line was that the cost was over $600 for one hour of work. I will add that the plumber did an excellent job so I have no issues with their work. It is more about how they charge for their work. Next time, I will either find someone that is willing to charge by the hour or is willing to provide free estimates."
