My technician quickly diagnosed the issue and did something to get the A/C functioning temporarily while awaiting parts to come in. He gave me a couple of options as far as repair, one less costly and one with longer term good outcome but was honest that for the time being, either one would work. He had it fully repaired and serviced within 48 hours of ordering parts and I didn't have to suffer without A/C in the meantime! He was back with a new capacitor very quickly and had it repaired in a matter of minutes. I was pleasantly surprised there was not even a service or labor charge.
