Hi, I’m Jansen, owner of Balmer Builders.\n\nI started this company because I saw how many remodeling projects become incredibly stressful, not because of bad work, but because of poor planning, unclear expectations, and lack of communication.\n\nI’ve worked both in the field and on the project management side of residential construction, gaining experience on projects ranging from high-end custom homes and major remodels to smaller-scale work. I’ve seen firsthand how those issues lead to budget overruns, rushed decisions, and unnecessary frustration and stress for homeowners.\n\nMy approach is simple: focus on clarity from the start, so you know what your project involves, what it costs, and what decisions need to be made before construction begins.\n

"There truly aren't enough "Stars" to give Keystone Custom Decks. We just finished Phase 2 of our backyard deck/patio project and we couldn't be happier. From the beginning we experienced HIGH service levels and quality work. Chase and AJ were awesome during the excavation. Ray, Caleb and Corey did an outstanding with the Masonry work, Jason and Logan were great with the roof structure while Shaun, Preston & Kayden did an incredible job grading and seeding the landscape once the job neared completion. A special thanks to Jason for doing a thorough and careful job installing the gas line David for leading an electrical team that was fast and efficient. Daniel was the quintessential Project Manager. He was approachable, consistent, reliable and action oriented. Ray was also extremely personable and demonstrated a lot of leadership qualities. Big Thank You to Ron, Elvin and Sarah for putting together and sending over an incredible team1 With traditional Customer Service and Craftmanship Keystone Custom Decks will LITERALLY make your dream(s) become reality."

"The entire job was meticulously performed from start to finish. It involved a high precision stone cutting. This company has a very hard working crew. They are dedicated and very kind. They cleaned up the construction site every day before they left. The machinery were covered and all the tools were put away. Bryan came often to supervise the job and give instructions. He communicated with me before, during and after the entire process. Bryan is also a very good adviser, he had elegant architectural ideas. He helped me to chose the materials and recommended the right plants and shrubs for the landscaping. I have and I will continue to recommend this company to neighbors, friends and family. I will use this company in the future again and again."

"By far the worst business experience we?ve ever had. They did the work in May, then sat on our payment until September before cashing it. We thought we hired one company, but suddenly another one was contacting us ? a complete bait-and-switch. Communication was practically nonexistent the entire time. Completely unprofessional, disorganized, and dishonest. We would never hire them again and strongly advise others to stay away."

"Impressed and Grateful! Stoney Brooke remodeled our kitchen and we can’t say enough about how great working with them was. Scott and his team were awesome and did an amazing job. From initial quote he guided us to help maintain our budget and select the best design and materials. They communicated every step of the way and helped us understand the process, they were never anything but professional when we had questions. Their care was evident from the beginning, their work is excellent, and we are ecstatic with the results of our project!"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Lebanon, PA

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
