"This started with a persistently dripping bathroom faucet. The faucet was probably original to my mid-1960s ranch house. As long as I was calling a plumber in, I also wanted a dripping toilet (it was leaking around the handle used when flushing) repaired. I was pleased that a plumber was available the same day I contacted True Blue even though these repairs were certainly not an emergency. Anthony R., the plumber, came as scheduled late that afternoon. He was very competent and professional. He replaced the bathroom faucet with a modern new faucet because it really did need to be replaced. (My original faucet was so old that the metal at the base seemed to be peeling/twisted up--it was one of those faucets with the handles looked like plastic jewel knobs.) I examined the new faucet prior to it being installed and can verify its quality and heaviness. The new faucet has an arched neck where the water comes out and gives some height between the water coming out and the bathroom sink that wasn't there before. When turning off the water to the house, Anthony recommended replacing that on/off valve as well as a piece above that which regulates water pressure to the house. I'm sure both of these were also original to the house. The on/off valve was really corroded and I turned it gingerly when I had to turn the water off/on. As far as the water pressure goes, the Kansas City Water Department has been doing a lot of work in my neighborhood and will probably continue to do so and may at some point in time actually work on my street. To defend my house against the water pressure changes this can cause, I thought this change was also needed. I'm not sure I quite understand how it works, but apparently the water pressure had something to do with the toilet leaking. Be that as it may, I haven't had any problems with the toilet since the changes were made although the toilet was also worked on. These repairs were quickly done and did not involve a lot of time. I think this was a good value even though what was basically a leaky faucet expanded to replacing a water pressure device and the house on/off valve and cost about $1200. (I lived in another house where the house on/off valve had a box dropped on it which broke it, causing a major flood as water poured out. That's destructive so that's why I appreciate Anthony being proactive and making the recommendations he did as well as being able to complete it during this visit.)"

"I used Ben Franklin. I think what they do is send out different plumbers on their list. The first one was a bummer. he ripped me off and overcharged. The next time they sent out a different plumber who was an older man. When he heard about my first experience,  He got on the phone and called the company, when they finished the job they took off $400 off of my bill. If I could have that man every time. The first guy totally overcharged me. 

I have some more things to have done, but don't know if I can afford it. I wish I could have the second guy who came out.  I would consider using them again.

The price kind of sting me, the faucet was very expensive. I think thats why the nd plumber called and got me the refund. He used the fair price guarantee. I think $600 for a kitchen faucet is kind of steep myself.  Thats one of the things I complained about to the nd plumber. One of the things being advertised being AL they were going to replace an outside faucet for $79 and the first guy charged me almost $300. 

If Benjamin is just working with several plumbers in my area and they see who is available at the time in my zip code, Unless they have vetted the people themselves personally and know what they are going to do, it isn't such a great deal. 

They did the work I asked, just the pricing between the 2 different plumbers were a bummer. 

I thought $1353 was excessive, replacing an outside water faucet, routing out the pipes from 2 sinks. They told me they couldn't clean out the existing faucet enough for it to work, so I bought the faucet he had in the truck. 

My nd experience was great, came out in time.  For professionalism, the first plumber was overcharging but the second plumber was fair and was good for retired people.

"Both the owner Doug & Carlos the employee were very professional with me on the phone asking what I needed done. Carlos came over and gave me a reasonable estimate on the work I needed done. A few days later Carlos came back and did ALL the work in just a few hours. He repaired the large window frame by building it up and painted the entire frame. Then he fixed up an area under the gutter-afterwards I couldn't even see where the original damage was. Also he did some paint touch-ups on some small areas where some paint had peeled off. Other companies I've hired in the past would've taken several days and numerous employees to do all the work Carlos did it all by himself. "The has done a wonderful on helping restore this 1912 home and I continue to call them back to do more projects and plan to book them for other homes I own. The main drain line was rusted and cracked from the basement floor all the way up to the second floor bathroom, which they replaced. This requires tearing down an old plaster and putting in new drywall that turned out seamless. I decided to turn an old pantry into a laundry room. They ran the plumbing and electrical for the room, framed the old doorway and drywalled it. Many rooms had old switches and outlets that they replaced. Ceiling fans were old and replaced. The former for the attic was missing siding and the windows were falling apart. They resided, painted and installed new windows. They set a new toilet and installed a new vanity which required new water lines. Relocating the vanity also meant running a new switch and installing a new vanity light."
