"One of the best contractor experiences we have ever had. Jim called the day before to confirm the appointment. Larry the Plumber was so nice to deal with. He put on she covers to protect my wood floors, worked very neatly and gave us some tips about ongoing maintenance. He did a perfect job. This review us for Petro in central NJ. i was not able to change the company location. We hired them through Amazon."

"Stahls Mechanical is a top notch company and I would highly recommend them for any HVAC/plumbing work you have. My a/c went out and they were out within a day and had me up and running again in no time and at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Thank you Stahl’s and team for all of your help! Will definitely use you again in the future!!"

"I received 8 quotes for my new heat pump install. Only one of those quotes beat Comfort Zone. I did not choose the low quote because they were not nearly as responsive as Comfort Zone when I had questions. CZ arrived on time, professionally installed the heat pump in a very timely manner. Its been in for 2 weeks now. No problems at all. Great price . Great service."

"After several repairs over a couple of years we decided to replace our 14 year old central AC system with a new heat pump system. We got quotes from 3 companies, and decided to go with B.A.R. Appliances AC LLC based on past experience, extended warranty, and very competitive costs. The entire installation was efficient and professional. I found Henry and his staff a pleasure to deal with. They left me with a nice clean system and I would highly recommend B.A.R. Appliances AC LLC for any HVAC work. It's nice to have quality work done in this day and age!"

"I am new to the York area and spoke to several different contractors. My central air system broke down and it was in the middle of the horrific heat we were having this summer. Because my home is an older house, the furnace had to be replaced, as well as the central air unit. After speaking with about four different contractors, I found Absolute Comfort. Kathy was my initial contact, through phone conversation. Not only was she helpful but knowledgable as well to my situation. She said she was going to have Mike call me directly to get more info. After speaking with Mike, he and his father came to inspect the situation. Not only did they give us a quote, for more than half what the others wanted, he took care of everything. They ordered the furnace and the central air unit. They confirmed with us that we approved of the models. The communication was of the utmost I could have expected. When they came to install everything, they were professional, caring and experienced. They explained everything to us, in detail and answered every question we had, no matter how minute it may have seemed. They gave us complimentary service maintenance, for both units. We heard a noise a few days later, called them and he was here to check it out, within two days. Nothing was wrong. It was merely the way the air pushed up on the vent. Three days ago, our water heater broke. Again, not knowing anyone in this area, I called Kathy to see if they could recommend anyone to us, for repairing and/or replacing our water heater. She informed me that Mike and his father also do this type of work. She had Mike call me directly again. Let me please mention that this was a Sunday and he still took the time to call me, not once but three times we spoke that day. The warranty on my water heater was still good, but in order to purchase another one I would have had to go to a different location to get it because the York store did not have one in stock. Instead of making me take the old one back to York, drive all the way to Hanover to get another one, Mike and his father offered to purchase one, from his distributor for me. He immediately ordered it and was here on Tuesday to remove the old and install the new water heater. I am in my mid 50's and I must say that in all the years I have had to deal with these types of situations and/or contractors, I have NEVER felt so much compassion, caring and flexibilty in payments from ANY other contractor. If you want someone who not only has the knowledge and expertise to fix your issues, in your home, but also want someone who is going to care after the work is done and be there to help you through it, then you most definitely need to give Absolute Comfort a chance. I would highy recommend Mike & his company to anyone for any type of home repairs. Last but not least, I would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to everyone at Absolute Comfort!!!! What a wonderful world this would be if we had more businesses such as this one!"

"In researching the installation of a brand new central air system I got four bids. Dean's Heating & Air Conditioning saved us from the over-charging, poorer quality large commercial options - which there are too many of. Michael Dean is a conscientious, experienced craftsman who takes pride in his work, joy in figuring out challenging jobs, and backs up his work with a personal guarantee that means something when your name is on the business. The team did a full design and installation of a two-zone, 6-ton Trane central air conditioning system without taking up an inch of our living space. Amazing! One large company didn't even want to bid on the job when they learned that our historic 1920 Dutch Colonial home had no existing ductwork. Michael and his team took on the challenge, finding space in the walls, attic, and basement that I didn't even know we could use. We couldn't be happier with the result: perfectly cut openings for the vents and returns, beautiful ductwork, and a personal guarantee that I believe in. I couldn't recommend Dean's more highly."

"Sooo....first, Jim is a very nice guy. However, Jim now works in Nashville during the week and is only home to the Huntsville area on the weekends.
My first impression of him was that he was awesome. My computer system had crashed because I pulled the plug during a thunder storm before the computer fully shut down which resulted in the computer hanging up. Jim took my call while in Tennessee and suggested how to fix the system. For this I am very grateful.
What happened next was I had him come and check my computer to make sure everything was working properly. He came to my house and spent an hour tweaking it (basically running various checks on the system), for which I paid him $50. He suggested that my laptop would work much better if I had Windows 7 and increased my RAM up to 4 GB. He said he could install it for me for (including the RAM) for about $160. We met the following weekend for the handoff and he loaded Window 7. When I received the call it was ready, the bill was $227.50. I was surprised that is was $70 more than quoted, but paid it anyways. When I asked about the RAM, he mentioned he did not upgrade the RAM and this would be another $60. I was a little discouraged at that point since I felt like I was being taken advantage of, but the guy is relatively nice, so I said to go ahead and order the RAM. He did so and the following weekend was supposed to install it. Due to some personal things in his life, he wasn't able to install it, so I picked it up since I had to go out of town and could use the IT guy at my new location to install it for me. When we went to install the RAM, the system wouldn't let us do it since my particular type of laptop can only take 2GB of RAM max. If Jim had gone to the crucial.com website (where he bought my RAM) and entered my computer system on it, it would have told him the max amount of RAM that could be installed on that unit. He did not do that. He is supposed to refund my $60 this next weekend.
I think if Jim wasn't burning the candle at both ends by having a job in Tennessee during the week and trying to run this business on the weekends, it would've been a better experience. Perhaps taking a few extra minutes to SLOW DOWN and write out an estimate of everything he would need for the job including the prices would ensure people know up front how much the repair would/should cost so they can budget accordingly. I think if he had taken that approach, it might've been a better experience. So now I am stuck with a laptop that runs slower because Windows 7 uses more memory and a laptop that can't be upgraded to more RAM. Basically, the last step which cost me almost $300 was not necessary. If you need something simple done like coming back from a system crash, he would be okay to use. Otherwise, for the bigger jobs, I recommend he provide a written estimate with the items he plans to do.
UPDATE: After posting this review, I received a number of text messages from Jim commenting on the bad review. I understand he is upset, but harassing someone about a review is not a good way to go. My review was honest and not meant to be mean, but to let those that use Angie's list get what they pay for...an honest review of someone's experience."
