"We hired Young Remodeling to install a complex and custom pantry near the back door alcove of our kitchen.  We own an old home, so our kitchen is small.  The new pantry was/is designed to help add counter space to the main kitchen area by providing cabinet storage for a microwave oven, as well our toaster oven and coffee maker via a quartz counter top.  We also wanted to add additional storage via 4 custom cabinets.  Special pullouts were designed for storage containers in a lower cabinet, as well as a pullout bar beneath the microwave.  Young Remodeling did fantastic work on all facets of the job.  From recommending vendors, to providing design options, to ensuring quality in the cabinets, counter top, and tile, and of course the install - it was all top notch.  The end result is absolutely stunning. Of note, we would have given Young Remodeling high marks for the work in general, but they get exceptional points for problem solving. We had a severe challenge with one of our door options.  Working with my wife and I they were able to create a unique sliding door solution that actually performed better than the original design.  It looked amazing and didn't add any costs.  All in all, they are just fabulous to work with and their work product is of the highest standards.  We plan to continue to work with Young as we continue to remodel our plaza area home.

"We used Foundation1 to completely rebuild 2 basement walls and push another one back up and support it. They did a great job and done it quickly and professionally. I do not live in the KC area and needed to find a contractor that could be counted on to be honest and stand behind their work. Foundation1 has fit that bill. "I had gutter failure from huge storm in KC area last weekend, which caused water to pool in front of a basement window well and led to my basement flooding. I tried calling many other gutter companies, but they all were 2-3 weeks or 2-3 months booked out. the owner of 5 Star construction came out to give a bid, and immediately said that he would take one of is crews off another project to immediately address put up the new gutters so as to avoid further flooding into my basement. He said my situation was way more urgent than his other customers. He had a crew out the very next day to put up the new 6" gutters with splash guards, and addressing some of the other minor siding repairs."

"One thing Shawn arranges for is to have a lady come in and clean/dust everything after they are done with dry wall sanding and such. That was a nice bonus.  He also found a spectacular carpet cleaner guy to get out stains and wax tracked in on carpeting. Carpet still looks great!

Shawn has a helper named Mike, and Mike is a hard worker. Mike shows up on time, and works as long as he has to without complaining. Shawn does have sub contractors for dry wall and painting.  His painter (Melbin) does an awesome job, but some of the guys that help Melbin are rather sloppy, leaving paint in sinks and splatters on counters.  Shawn made sure it was all taken care of later on though.  Shawn's dry wall guy (Carlos) knows how to get the job done pretty well, but wasn't very conscientious about making sure surfaces were protected (like floors, carpets, etc) from the dry wall compound, and he dumped the waste down in the street sewer- a big "no-no."
  I agree with another reviewer that stated Shawn seems to have a lot of things suddenly "come up" and seems to have too many "irons in the fire." There were several times when Shawn didn't show up when he said he would. Sometimes we would be contacted as to why, other times not.  I think this is common among contractors, unfortunately. They seem to have a whole different concept of time.

Shawn finished the job within a week of our deadline. We had some unexpected add-ons that understandably lengthened the job. "

"THE CALM DURING THE STORM. After receiving 6 inches of rain within a 24 hour period my basement started to take on water and it was more than my shop vac could handle. I needed help and I needed it fast. My wife contacted All Dry after a friend of ours recommended them. They were at our house within the hour. OUTSTANDING! Jason and Jeremy arrived with smiles on their faces and quickly came in to ***** the situation. Then they got to work. They made quick work of the cleanup to.
