"G.L. Hunt was very professional, educational, and compassionate. They provided us with 3 different estimates depending if we wanted all concrete or concrete and steal or all steel (good, better and best). They explained everything to us where we could understand. They answered all of our questions and concerns. They did initial measurements for free and did measurements before lifting the house and after. I asked G.L Hunt to redo all measurements after they raised the house so I could see the differences myself, G.L. Hunt Foundation went on and above what we expected. They ensured us everything was okay. G.L. Hunt walked though every area in my home and outside with my husband. They informed us, they will provide us with free soil just in case we get sink holes from where they where digging and refills the holes they dug up. The areas we thought needed to be redone i.e. mortar and chalking touch ups G.L. Hunt came out the net day and redid everything we asked them to redo. The also informed us to call them after 90 days and they will redo measurements again to ensure everything was okay. They advised us to put up glitters around the house and they did checked our plumbing under the house within 30 days to ensure our plumbing was okay after lifting the house. We got 4 estimate and we are very happy we selected G.L. Hunt to Do our foundation work. GL Hunt did an excellent job."

"Listen to me: Hire Rusty Crain Concrete & Excavation for any concrete work and/or landscaping you need for your home or business. I was building a pool in my backyard earlier this year (February 2021), and after the pool was put in place, I had to wait for my pool builder’s concrete crew to secure the concrete and have availability to pour the concrete decking. Fast-forward to July, and there was still no movement on completing the project. Rusty and his crew then stepped in and were pouring concrete within a week of contacting him. My backyard was a fiberglass pool surrounded by a huge gravel pit before Rusty got involved – and as I write this in late October of 2021, it still may have been without Rusty’s connections and expertise. Pictures of the before-and-after are attached to this review. I cannot say enough good things about Rusty and the people who work for him (Alonzo and Alfredo are unbelievable and INCREDIBLY good at what they do). They framed and poured my pool deck – and broke down the forms – all in 1 day. It looks so good! While they were finishing up on the concrete, I asked Rusty if he could recommend any good landscaper to help turn the rest of my yard into a livable space – and he said, “Yeah… ME.” So, we talked over the vision I had for my backyard, and he came back a little while after the deck was finished to take measurements and sketch out a plan. When I tell you that the completed project was EXACTLY as I envisioned it in my head, I’m being 100% honest. He truly is a magician with a concrete wand. (Pictures of the landscaping, pavers, river rocks, and zoysia grass before-and-after also attached to this review). Here’s the deal: We all are apprehensive about having contract work done on our home or business. It’s nerve-wracking and we don’t want to get ripped-off on a job – especially if it turns out we don’t like it. Rusty is not the cheapest guy out there, and for good reason. He will explain every detail, be there at the site every single day, be able to change things on the fly to make sure you’re totally happy, and he’ll come back and check on the completed job as often as you’d like until you’re comfortable or just have any questions about how things turned out. I honestly could not be happier with the work he did for me. There’s not a tangible price I can put on peace of mind. Just to put a tidy little bow on this review about Rusty Crain: his wife is a literal competitive body builder; his oldest son is a veteran and served as an active-duty Marine; his other son was an undersized middle-linebacker in high school who set the school record for total tackles in a single game his Senior year. He and his entire family do not know the definition of “half-a**” or “just good enough”. The attitude, dedication, and pride he puts into his work is the “fine print” in his deals – and that’s WAY more important than the sticker price. I will be using him—and only him—for any concrete or landscaping work I need in the future. Thank you, Rusty Craaaain"

"I scheduled a foundation inspection appointment for 8/3/15; I have some cracks growing and other issues that seem to indicate a leveling problem. I selected this vendor due to them having a glowing writeup in the AL magazine a couple months back. <br /> . <br /> John arrived on time, explained what he was going to do, and got to work with his equipment. He inspected the foundation thoroughly inside and out, which took him about an hour, if I recall correctly. When he was done he went over his findings with me. He had made a diagram of my floorplan (outside dimensions) with the slope lines and other notes on it. I asked him if I could take a picture of it, because it was very useful information, and he said not to worry about it, it would be included in the $125 report (I think that's how much they charge for it) I was to receive in approximately 2 weeks. (The ratings above are not reflective of his performance; he was "A"s all the way down.) <br /> . <br /> On 8/18 I received the pdf report as an email attachment. Four pages, very thorough, matched what he told me, exactly what I expected--except the diagram wasn't included. I replied to the email on 8/30 (I had been out of town) inquiring where the diagram was. I then heard nothing for three weeks. <br /> . <br /> On 9/22, I replied a second time, inquiring about the status, and cc'd the "contact" address from their website. Meredith responded on 9/23, asking if the issue had been resolved, and on 9/24 I indicated it had not. I then heard nothing for a week. <br /> . <br /> On 10/1, I replied for the third time. I then heard nothing for three weeks. After two months of trying, I have given up. I wouldn't have paid for the report if I'd known I'd never receive the diagram... or I would have just taken the picture anyway to be sure. <br />"

"Sorry it's taken so long to get this review done. The work was done on 9/15/14. The workers showed up on time and did a good job. I had several doors that were not closing correctly and all were corrected and still open and close as they should. Unfortunately I was at home recovering from foot surgery while the work was being done and do not recommend you be in the house while the work is done. A couple of times I thought the cabinets would come off the wall but all was fine (the kitchen area really had to be raised, I think 2"). Also these guys are not gardeners, they are house levelers and do a good job with that. If you have shrubbery or plants where they will be digging you want to keep, it is best you remove them and repot them temporarily, the put them back yourself. If I had not been recovering from foot surgery I would have done that as I lost a small shrub and rose bush. But in all fairness as I said they are not gardeners and the rose bush was old. There also was A LOT of dirt leftover that comes from under the house, so make plans on what to do with it before they start. I didn't realize it would be so much and they were trying to finish up and leave so I had them spread it out over part my lawn thinking the grass would grow back there. It has not and I need to resod the area. I had another area that is lower and water gathering when it rains, so I should have had them put it there. Hindsight. Overall I do give them an A, am pleased with work, and will use them again on another property I have that needs leveled."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Liberty Hill, TX

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
