"Dworak's staff was punctual, professional and efficient. They replaced our hot water heater, disconnected kitchen and bathroom sinks for countertop and vanity replacement and reconnected plumbing after the countertop installations. They replaced the disposal in the kitchen. They checked out our water softener as well. We were pleased with their prices and workmanship. We would certainly recommend them based on their excellent service and workmanship! <br />"

"Excellent service. Brian came over as soon as he could(he was at an out-of-town job site and waiting for the plumbing inspector), which was within a few hours and the installation of the new water heater(the old one rusted out and was leaking on our office floor) was fast and efficient. We had a new heater already on site-just needed it installed. <br />"

"We had to call them for separate things to be done, even if there were obvious problems that were right next to each other. <br /> Perhaps it would of been less costly if multiple problems were observed and dealt with during one service call. There was a concern about a strong gas smell after they changed the water heater and we were out of the house and it was closed up and I had to call them about the smell upon our return. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lincoln, NE

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
