I'm sure he could tell I knew very little about plumbing overall but dealt with me fairly and didn't talk down to me. He also told me how to prevent the problem from happening again (by wrapping the external line in heat tape and foam insulation pipe) and inspected the rest of the basement to assess the overall health of the sump pump system. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The experience was one my best experiences with a service company in over 40 years. And I am over 55. They were fast, efficient, reasonably priced, and very knowledgable. Blake was the person that performed the service repairing and correcting the kitchen plumbing problem that we have had for about 17 years. It didn't become a big problem that we realized until a few days ago. Our garbage disposal line under our kitchen sink blew out, ruined our cabinet base which we will now have to replace. We already had a bucket under some of the PVC and many kitchen towels that were soaking wet from previous water. Blake was able to quickly repair and correct the poor original plumbing. He replaced and corrected the plumbing problem replacing piping and making the corrections in about 30 minutes. We were very happy with the service which we had been dealing with for years. Since then we have used our sink, garbage disposal and dishwasher without any problems and not a drop of water. I will be sure to recommend them to my friends!"

"They did a great job replacing and installing a new water heater. However, I did notice a distinct lowering of hot water pressure with the new water heater. I don't think it's something they did but I would have appreciated it if they had noticed and offered me options to increase the hot water pressure."
