"Matt and Dino are professional, responsible, and punctual. They finished a major renovation of my house right on time. I was out of state during much of the work, but never felt out of touch, talking with Matt virtually every day, including via video. The work quality is excellent, and the un-renovated parts of the house were protected during the whole project. Matt and Dino are both relaxed, low-stress, and very easy to work with. I would happily work with the Prestige team on any future projects (and already plan to)."

Customers say: Quality work

"My wife Kate were looking for someone to put a large addition on the back of our Cape style home in Montclair, and we met John thru a google search which took us to his website, from there after reading his background, looking at his achievements and the many photos we decided to reach out. We had architectural drawings, a wish list so to speak, and of course a budget. The project was a 18â x 28â addition, an open floor plan to allow for expansion of the kitchen, and dining room into what would become the Great Rm. When we first met, John looked at the drawings and noticed a few very important details were missing, our architect had not designed any support for where our rear wall of the house was going to be removed, this for the open floor plan, the opening was big, almost 24 ft. There also was no design for the cathedral ceiling at all, which was a major item on our wish list, so we right then and there called our architect, he stated he was having trouble making the design work. John raised an eyebrow, and looked intently at the plan and our existing rear wall and in just minutes had the solution for both the open plan support and the cathedral ceiling. We had to make a few design changes but it sounded like we were going to get close to what we were looking for. We talked a little more and John left with the drawings. We were extremely impressed with his ability to spot and solve the problem. A few weeks later after some back and forth on details and numbers, we met with John again, he had more detailed sketches of his solutions to the noted problems for the architect to apply to the drawings, and a contract which we had pretty much negotiated prior to the meeting. We signed him up and moved forward. From the first day to the last John was on site with is men, both directing, planning and getting his hands dirty. I should mention we were living in the house during all of this. He and his team alway made sure everything was kept clean, they took many precautions to keep the dust and grime out of the space we were using. He sent progress photos during the day most days which was very helpful as both me and my wife worked all day, so for the most part we only saw John early in the morning as we were leaving. He treated our home as if it were his, as yes no-one was home most days. Our expectations were high, and John and his team met all of them, their proactive approach to work, the attention to the details and the quality of work was nothing short of amazing. We totally love the space! We will always give him our future work! And share him with our friends!"

"Wilber's is excellent and went above and beyond what we contracted the company to do. Got three quotes from different vendors and Wilber's had the most competitive pricing. The job manager, Eric, was excellent at communicating about the work and steps needed to complete the job. Wilber's even helped to order the doors that they needed to install from a local vendor they recommended. You could not ask for more in terms of craftsmanship, communication, and consideration. For example, the workers even returned after the job to clean up an inconsiderate bird that treated my newly painted white house like a personal toilet. I would recommend the company to anyone in NJ looking to do work on their home."

"Cesar and his crew just finished a remodel of my master bathroom. This is the second major project completed in my home by CSZ (prior kitchen remodel) and once again they exceeded my expectations. Cesar worked with me along the way to come up with the perfect design to ensure all my requirements were met. He is knowledgeable and his attention to detail is second to none. The CSZ crew, Armondo and Benjamin were also a pleasure to work with. They are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and hardworking. They also did an exceptional job cleaning up at the end of each work day. My dog even loves them! I highly recommend CSZ Construction. They will most certainly be back for future projects in my home!"

BUYER BEWARE.  I hate long reviews...but I wish someone rang the warning bell with a review of their experiences before we used Ernest & Sons.

To be fair In the end the job was done--but at what cost?  We worked with Jose a few years back to replace our driveway.  Jose and team did an excellent job.  So when we wanted to have our patio and walkway done we called Ernest and sons again.  This time we dealt with Ernest.  Initially he was nice and helpful showing me other patios completed.  We were very specific on timing to finish the project he was in agreement understanding weather delays could impact the completion.

Once the contract was signed ...communications on their side stopped.  We had to call several times to see when the project would start. Once the job started the guys on site were nice but they did not speak much English and there no project manager to check in to see how things were going.

When the job was done there was light rain and we noticed pools of water on the patio.  I put paper cups in the standing water and took pictures.  I contacted Ernest he came out and never conceded there was a problem as he looked at the standing water.  However he sent a crew back (again we had not paid yet) to remove the pavers and ensure it was level. They removed pavers in different areas 5 TIMES to level the patio.  While I truly appreciate their efforts...why didn't the first crew simply get it right.

DAMAGES TO OUR YARD AND NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR.  In the process of building our patio they drove trucks onto our yard

and the neighbors damaging both yards.  I immediately took pictures and called Ernest--he assured me all damages would be taken care of.  When the job was complete his guys put seeds down and we paid in full.  However almost a month later there were only spots of grass and both yards still damaged.

I called again sent more pictures and he sent another crew that told my husband they were putting  down the 'good stuff this time' (really). We watered the lawns twice a day same as before...the damage is still there are now we have to pay out of pocket to fix our lawn and our neighbors!

ICING ON THE CAKE.  Company called and asked if Ernest could bring a potential customer to see the patio. My husband agreed assuming he could talk to Ernest about damages.  Ernest was no show...they gave the prospects our address...and to our surprise two strangers walked into our backyard without even ringing the doorbell. I do not fault the couple but Ernest and Sons for handling this entire job so unprofessionally.

If you still choose to use this merchant ...good luck and get in writing how damaged will be handled.

"The bench mark for any contractor is to ask the customer if they had another project would they use the same contractor again. My answer in regard to DDP Construction would be, in a word, "ABSOLUTELY". The finish work was impeccable. Darek is very personable, knowledgeable, reliable and also got good deals on appliances and counter tops, but most importantly, he is accessible. He did a complete renovation on my kitchen. He was on the job every day, not all day long, but available if I had questions. Are there hidden problems and surprise costs when they open your walls, ceiling and floor? Of course there are, but they were handled professionally the very next day. Is your wife going to be completely satisfied? Of course she's not, but she was happy with the finish results. She wanted a flush mounted stove and refrigerator, didn't happen in a 10' by 10' room, but that's wasn't Darek's fault. She thinks the cabinets could have been a little wider and deeper but we both like the soft close doors and drawers, and the construction is excellent. Over the past few years I've had occasion to use about 4 or 5 different contractors for different projects such as roofing, siding, walkways and entry doors. Would I use any of them again? In four words, "not even at gunpoint". Generally you see the general contractor once or twice to sign the contract and to pick up the money and that's it. Like I said, Darek worked with us thru every step of the project and personally saw to any modifications we requested. I would highly recommend DDP Construction and will most likely use them again when I re-do my deck, when I find that bucket of money."

"Atlantic 1 and Eddie were referred to me by another happy customer who in return was also referred by someone who used their services. Quick to quote and book (especially when we had a water damage project and couldn’t wait around) , not afraid to take on challenges that other contractors wouldn’t work on, fast turnaround and good pricing. Would I use them again?: I’ve done a kitchen remodel with them, then a living room- from ceiling paint to floor install to closets remodeling, and I’m having them return for a quote on deck / balcony and gazebo reconstruction and new fence So yes.. I would definitely use them again!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Little Falls, NJ

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
