"Mr Webb's work is very good and my wife and I are very pleased with his work, cost and work time.  We have used Complete Home Repair for several small repairs this year and have always been very pleased.  He shows up when he says he will and gets the job done.  So when we planned this latest project, we did not hesitate to call them and in fact did not even think about any one else.
We have in mind some other projects around here and will certainly call them first.  We found Complete Home Repair on Angie's list and have even found others for HVAC etc.

"The installation team(owner and one employee) knew one another and has installed the same windows over and over again so everything was installed perfectly. They placed drop clothes in the areas they worked on and cleaned up with a shop vac and nothing was damaged. Meadow Exteriors is a small company but in my opinion their aim is to be the best not the biggest company. I am very pleased with their results. I paid half down when I signed the contract ($7500) and it took about a month before my windows were ready. I highly recommend this company.

"I contacted Jeff Davis regarding several items needing attention on a home I was placing on the market. Items included repairing the ridge cap on the roof, repairing metal facia, repairing cap rail, gate and resealing large exterior deck, painting ceilings in the house, repair drywall cracks, replace two doors, repaint or stain all exterior doors, tile front porch and entryway & other small items. My only recommendation would be to have multiple small jobs listed and priced as separate line items on the contact. Makes mods or deletions (which will happen) easier to follow. I highly recommend T.F. Davis Const. Inc."

"Dustin has been very proactive and professional. He contacted us promptly, was ready to come over to give us a bid or short notice, provided a written contract and come to start the job when he said he would. He just finished a job that took him longer than expected and he didn't ask for a penny more. He stayed here till 9pm finishing up and worked steady and hard the whole time. Very happy with the results of the job. Would hire him again!!!"

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Little-river, AL

Both steel and wood can last over 100 years with proper care. However, wood could rot or warp when exposed to moisture, whereas galvanized steel is rotproof, insect-proof, and much more fire-resistant. Steel is friendlier to the environment as it doesn’t require cutting down trees, and the frame can be recycled. The energy-efficiency rating of metal stud framing can be higher than conventional wood construction. Metal studs are easier and quicker to install.

Whether you’re using wood or metal stud framing, follow the “16 on center” rule, meaning you should have a stud every 16 inches. A 20-foot wall spans a total of 320 inches. This works out to 20 spans of 16 inches, plus one starting stud, for a total requirement of 21 studs to frame a 20-foot wall.

Drywall installation costs $1.15 to $2 per square foot on metal stud framing or $2,300 for an average 2,000-square-foot house. The total cost for metal framing and drywall ranges from $20 to $30 per linear foot. Metal frames often seem light, but they can be exceptionally strong once drywall or sheathing is attached.
