"JR’s Review I had JR's replace a sliding door, replace some wood siding and paint the exterior of my vacation house. The problem is that I paid him in full before the job was complete and I had a chance to inspect. I live out of state and could not return in time to check the work which he said was complete, but I sent him a final payment out of a gesture of good faith anyway. When I arrived at the house, I found that there were several areas not painted completely, the sliding door trim was not finished nor caulked on the inside or outside and a few other small items like left paint and paint brushes laying around outside and which became rusty and left stains on my pavers. I called him, and he said that he was very busy but would get to it when he had the chance. It is now several phone calls and a year later still no John Ross from JR's. John Ross is close to being a 4 Star contractor perhaps if you hold final payment until the job is completed he will complete the job - classless. I'll use someone else the next time. He still has not returned to finish - so I am doing it myself."

"We had a deck replaced (down to the joists) with composite decking, side rails and base enclosure. The installation crew was thoroughly professional and efficient. All the joists were covered in waterproof tape before the decking was installed. Not only was the distance between planks carefully measured, the location of every single screw was also precisely measured. The result overall is a "show-stopper," even better than I had expected. The price was on the high side, so I wavered on the rating of "value for money," ultimately going with the "value" end."

The company and I agreed to do it in January, but not a specific date.  One day, I received a call that they were on their way.  I would have appreciated a little more notice but it worked out ok. The tech was very polite and kind and actually went on the screened porch roof to check a gutter behind the porch that was causing a leak.  He called promptly to let me know what he had found.   When I bought the gutter cleaning deal for $99, I didn't realize there would be an extra charge of $80.00 for dealing with the gutter covers - my error because I hadn't read the fine print. I would deal with this company again.
