"Never, Ever order from Champion. The product may be fine however if anything goes wrong they take forever to stand by their warranty. We installed $15,000 of windows & patio door. One of the slider windows cracked within two weeks of it being installed. It took 11 months to get it replaced. I had many headaches and phone calls to get this resolved. From the local office in Loveland/Ft Collins area I spoke to Wendy & another gal in that office. Several times I asked for someone in an upper position. Both women told me there was nothing they could do to expedite this situation nor could they point me to anyone higher up than them. Those two women in that office are worthless. They don't care enough about the clients or their jobs to do better than "there isn't anything I can do". That is the worst customer service I can imagine!"

Working without proper permits can result in penalties, forced removal of completed work, and complications when selling your home. For basement framing, use pressure-treated lumber for bottom plates (the horizontal boards that contact concrete floors) to prevent moisture damage and rot. Standard kiln-dried lumber is suitable for wall studs and top plates that don't directly contact concrete surfaces.
