"<p>It turned out very good. I was not there at the time when the service took place, but I did ask the person that was here to go over things in further details. That's exactly what they did and from my understanding they had no problem in doing that. They even went further than that, so they went over and above to what I asked. I set it all up. I spoke to the gentleman that did the repair. I used them twice, I don't see why I would not use them for the third time. The guy did a great job. </p>"

"I seldom provide a 5-star rating. I expect exceptional service for a 5-star. I was leaving town for 2 weeks so needed quick estimates for an AC replacement . The first estimate cost me $100 for a service call and was ludicrous. Two others could only give ball park ranges in my time framed. T&S came out after hours the day I called that spent the time finding out what I wanted, and taking measurements and information for a quote. The next morning, I got the estimate in the bottom half of the ranges from the other 2. The supplier had a unit available so T&S said they could get it installed before I was leaving. T&S works with a lender for financing and got me started. The supplier sold the unit and it would be 2 days before T&S could get another. I would be gone, T&S worked around my son’s schedule to install when my son could be home. T&S also gave me a discount off original price for my inconvenience. I was particular about some items and T&S said they would install as told."

"Jeff, the owner, came to repair my furnace problems. He spent an ample amount of time diagnosing and repairing the problem. He didn't charge me extra to come out after hours. His customer service was excellent. I will definitely use him to repair and maintain my furnace for future needs."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Livonia, MI

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
