"Easy to schedule home repair. Trainee Siraj completed repairs and system is back up. Repair van did not have 7uF capacitor which seems short=sighted. Paid premium for their trip to wholesaler to buy correct part. I was not given receipts for replaced parts. Also wish I had seen before/after weights on the refrigerant. At $120/lb, I would have appreciated the open books. Aside from sticker shock, happy overall with the work and happy to have A/C back."

Alex was very helpful, he showed me how to properly clean the air conditioning unit outside for better working performance. Keeping it clean and free from grass clippings and debris, which will be helpful for future seasons. He charged my air conditioner up with refrigerant, weighing it on a scale right in front of me. Excellent installation, personable crew, etc.  I think their prices were a little higher than some others but we liked dealing with a stable, solid, somewhat large company so we went with them for the trust factor.  We haven't regretted it.  By the way, we have learned that installing a whole-house backup generator is incredibly effective for completely protecting the whole neighborhood ... the power outage rate has dropped to about 10% of what it used to be before we spent the money!  ;-)

The one thing I would do, if I were Kelley Bros, is to give their phone answering person (who apparently is often the only person in the office) some pretty complete instructions for some basic things, such as what to do when the generator red light comes on, or where the reset button is and what to do with it.  The Generac owner manuals are awful.  When the Kelley Bros phone person says "use the reset button" and refers us to the manual (which does not mention "reset button"), it is just frustrating.  Customers shouldn't have to wait around for a service person to call us back on how to do this apparently very simple, but not quite simple enough, action.

"Jeff is incredible and responds quickly. When my AC wasnâ t cooling he helped me figure out that I had interruptible air. He had a plan and was willing to come out and rewire the ax so it wasnâ t interruptible. He explained to me what DTE did not explain. Jeff also came out as soon as possible and helped me with how to care for my unit. The service has been outstanding. His install team and office staff are efficient and have great follow up. I would definitely use him again."
