Raymond came and asked what my issues were with the computer, listened to all my complaints. I explained about needing one virus software for work (encryption) and one for my computer's needs. He began by checking all the usual sites of issues, ran a virus scan product or two and determined that my issues were not viral related (yeah) but mostly overloaded with add-ons from several companies/sites.

Those got cleared out/removed, he made my home page much more user friendly for me, and explained tons of questions that I had about 'why this, why that, how this, etc.'  He made sure that at start-up, the computer wasn't bogged down, and by then there was already a big improvement. He changed my search engine from one that had been installed when I bought it but didn't know enough to change it.  I now know how to use either of the browser options.

He found documents that I knew were "in the cloud storage' but couldn't find (yes, I know, I'm one of those who wonders which cloud my stuff is in).  Raymond also set up my external hard drive so I could have yet another document storage location (to be really safe--especially since I still don't trust that cloud).

So now, instead of a computer that froze every few minutes I have a computer that is working well and I can concentrate on typing my end-of-term paper and not worrying that the computer will shut down.

Raymond was here about 90-105 minutes and the fee was very reasonable-- money well spent for what I got in return.

"The work ordered consisted of installing a flat screen 43 in to a dry wall in kitchen with a new outlet for TV. They cleaned up and took the box the tv can in with them to a recycled area. They worked as a team using soft skills like customer service, the job was professionally completed on time. "We contracted with JAM Home Services (Jeff) to repair and paint walls, ceilings and closets in the living/dining room and 3 bedrooms of our house. We also asked about installing base board where missing/damaged and also installing shoe molding in all rooms (we had just had carpeting removed and hardwood floors refinished), While his was not lowest estimate for the project, we were impressed with his knowledge, suggestions for successful completion and his professionalism. At our request, he suggested several colors that would work with the hardwood floors. We agreed on a start date, which had to be firm, to meet a specific timeline to place our house on the market. A week before start date, he checked in with us to be sure we still on schedule. As it happened, other projects were already completed, so he started a week earlier than planned and completed the project withing the 4 days he had originally estimated. We could not have been more pleased with the result! Each day, the work space was cleared and cleaned, except for drop cloths left to protect floors. He repaired a baseball-sized hole in the wall in one bedroom, repaired a crack in the plaster above a door in the living room, filled all nail holes. The paint on all ceilings, wall and closets was smooth and even - no messy corners or bleeding edges. The new base boards and and shoe molding were such great enhancements to the rooms.
