"They gave use recommendations of what we can do with our windows. They did the job in two days. The cleaned up was wonderful. Dan, who had been the sales rep, who first showed us products and measured came back after the job was finished to make sure everything was done correctly. He also took pictures. He gave us recommendations on a window that became foggy. Their quality insurance even called and said she would come out to make sure everything was done right. We are totally happy with the work."

"Installation of the windows went perfect. The company cleaned up after every area they were working in. They even took time to walk around the entire house and look at the windows and gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. Very professional from start to finish and I have zero complaints about The Window Source of Athens and would use this company again without thinking twice! Excellent job and immaculate window installation."

"We had several estimates for two windows that were fogged and needed replaced. One was a small palladium semi-circle decorative window which was a special order, the other was a regular 36" double pane window. One estimate was more than Glass Doctor and they could not do it within the time frame we needed. We sold the house and the work had to be done before closing. Another company did not get back to me with the estimate until three days after they said they would. Even though the estimate was almost $100.00 less, we did not want to deal with someone who we considered unreliable since he promised to have the estimate to me the same day he measured. If he could not do that, how would I know he would have the job completed when promised? Glass Doctor came out, measured within 20 minutes, sent the estimate to my email within the half hour with time frame for install. We called them to order the window and get the ball rolling, looking at a 10 day order time and next day install. Sure enough, they called when it came in and scheduled the install for the next day. ,He called me several times during the day to let me know when to expect him and he was running late but that he would be there. That was great, I didn't care, as long as I knew what to expect and that the job would get done that day since closing was the next day. He came and had the windows installed in no time, took care to cover his feet in the house, cleaned up his work area and the windows were shining when he left. I had them install auto glass last year with the same result. Love them, would have them do all my glass work. It is accurate, timely and neat."

"This is one of the BEST contractors I've Ever worked with in 20 years. Brent and his team were amazing. I interviewed 8 or 9 different roofing and gutter companies . Christian Roofing was the only one that mathematically and correctly addressed the inadequate ventilation on this hip roof. The installation was inmpressive: A crew that's worked together for many years; the Foreman and Job Capitain are the perfect complementary balance of new school / old school as one has a GA Tech degree and the other has 35 years hands on experience; they brought a port-a-potty with the dumpster; they did not use kick boards - which make additional holes- but were roped in; and they left the job site- my home- clean! The synthetic roof felt, shingles, vents were all high quality GAF materials with a long warranty. As important of an investment as a new roof is, I am just so glad I found these guys. Rarely do I write reviews but 'simply had to after a job this well-done!"

"My roof had sustained damage from recent severe storms in my area. I contacted several roofing companies, through internet searches and some local advertisers. I received a few inspections and multiple estimates, but wasn't satisfied or felt comfortable enough with any of those contractors to hire them do the job. So, I started asking around for referrals from friends and neighbors. My coworker recommended Braswell construction, since she's used their services before and were very pleased. I called right away, spoke to owner Chris Braswell, we setup an appointment and he came out the next day. He assessed the roof, and we both agreed that my entire roof needed immediate replacement. Chris was very professional, he explained all the details clearly for me to understand. Two days later his team were out replacing my roof. They did an excellent job, completed the roof and cleaned up the debris all in the same day. I am totally loving my new roof! it looks amazing, and I'm glad I went with the color shingles Chris suggested based off his experience...since I couldn't make up my mind picking a color. I am very glad I chose Braswell and would definitely recommend them in the future. The service was superb! Carolee"

"I am actually somewhat surprised by all the excellent recommendations for Sterling. My experience with them was very average. I would give them a B- if I were able. The quality of work that was done was good, but there were lots of additional charges and took 6 or 7 weeks to complete the project. Ben came out to give me a quote initially. His quote was not the lowest that I had received but I felt that they would do a quality job and wanted to work with his company. He agreed to discount his quote by half of the difference between the two. Carpentry: The first prep crew that was out to the house started using large amounts of wood filler to fill rotten ends of trim boards. I told Ben that wasn’t the kind of quality work that I expected them to do. After that, the carpentry crews seemed to do a better job at replacing section of rotted trim. The carpentry portion of the job continued for quite some time – several weeks. I had to repeatedly send Ben pictures of rotten boards that needed to be replaced before they were addressed. The quality of work that was done was really good. Unfortunately, I had to act as a quality control on the job for several things. Paint: The painting seemed to go much faster than the carpentry work. My only issue with the painting was that the flashing on the front of the house wasn’t painted, and I had to repeatedly remind (and send pictures) to Ben that it needed to be painted. Again, the paint quality seemed to really good with the exception of a few small things. Gutters: The gutter and gutter helmet installation went OK. One section of gutter on the front of the house was not installed initially. I had to call Ben and send him an old picture of the house showing him that there was indeed a section of gutter in that area before. He had his subcontractor come back out and install the missing section of gutter. The gutters were then painted to match the trim since the stock color wasn’t an exact match. The quality of the gutter installation was also excellent. Professionalism: There were some issues with the crew’s professionalism. One side of the house has some small trees and overgrown landscaping. In order to paint this side of the house, the crew cut down 2-3 small trees and broke many branches on the bushes. I understand that some of this has to happen, but this was rather extensive damage….to the point that I am now going to have to replace some of the landscaping in this area. I also found two flood light bulbs that were thrown into the woods behind my house. I had to pick up the broken pieces from these bulbs. Ben initially told me that he thought the entire process would take 2 weeks plus time for the gutter work. The project ended up taking 6-7 weeks for completion. Pricing: I did have Ben add some additional siding replacement to the project after it started. This was a small section of siding, but it was on the second story roof. Including this additional section, I was charged and additional $1335 beyond the initial quote of $5769 for painting and carpentry. I understand that there will be additional things that can’t be seen when given a quote, but a 23% difference from the quote to the final bill seemed rather excessive. One additional charge in particular that I did not agree with was a $225 charge for nails and nailing on a section of existing bulging siding. This should have been included in the original quote and if not, then $225 was very excessive for this item. After telling Ben that I wouldn’t be calling him back to quote replacing my deck because of the excessive additional charges, he wanted to take away the $225 nailing charge but also charge me an additional $140 for more brick molding that he said hadn’t included before. Overall I am happy with the quality of work that was done, but it came with several headaches, many additional charges and took way longer than it should have."

"It went very well.  I was impressed with their process.  First they called and asked to send someone to personally a**** the work required.  The assessor inspected the outside window and inside window while explaining  window terminology and described what would be replaced.  He also was provided a selection of wooden or vinyl replacement windows and found a need to replace a second window.  He explained that he would write up his assessment and that his boss would provide me a written estimate including price and estimated time of work completion. <br />      The next day, his boss called and confirmed what his assessor had reported and e-mailed me the written estimate. I took my time ( three or four days), selected vinyl windows and replied with my choice by e-mail.  The company ordered the windows and called me as soon as they arrived (about three to four weeks).  The owner then, displaying great flexibility called me to schedule delivery and installation of the windows.  Due to two weeks of constant rain, no plans were made to install the windows until the weather was forecast to improve and remain good (sunshine).  The owner provided the name of the window installer.  The installation technician called the following day, introduced himself and worked with me to arrive at a convenient time for me.  The technician was punctual and went right to work, only pausing to go back to the hardware store for window related support items. He worked alone and took him about four hours to complete the job.  No one asked for any payment in advance.  The installer informed me that while  removing a piece of exterior wooden molding he inadvertently pulled out a piece of stucco. He caulked it immediately and explained that he would consult the owner and devise a plan for the repair.  The next day a stucco repair specialist called me and arranged a time that very day to repair my damaged stucco.  He too was punctual and did an excellent job.  The following day, the owner called and  ensured I was satisfied with the work.  I provided me with the invoice as promised with no surprises and I payed him.  This process took about three months but appears to have worked well.  Each person with this company did a great job communicating with me.  Great professionalism. <br />        <br />"

"Coordinating the service was a little tough as apparently they had an overwhelming response from the Angie's List promotion. The first date had to be cancelled when they were unable to arrive within the specified time window. We rescheduled and when they arrived on that second date the work was done quickly and effectively. We would definitely recommend but be careful with promotions in general as many providers seem to get swamped with work and scheduling can be problematic."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Loganville, GA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
