"Vaughnscapes were wonderful to work with. Kenny was able to take what we shared in an early meeting and come back with beautiful renderings so we really knew what we would be getting. He provided multiple options as we worked through budget and extras (positioning of the pergola, a seat wall with columns for privacy). Kenny and his team were on time, professional, and even during busy season I knew we could connect with Liz in the office if we had a question. The true test of his willingness to make things right was when we had the four posts in place for the pergola we realized they were closer than we would like to the stairs. Kenny reworked the design quickly to use only 3 posts, pulled out one post and reset one in a new position and it turned out beautifully. Every day when I see our patio it makes me happy, it's exactly what we hoped for and is the most used space in our home 3 months out of the year! If you are looking for someone who is detailed oriented, quality driven, with a design eye and flexible along the way I couldn't recommend Vaughanscapes more."

"I had an old 18'x12' cedar deck demolished and a 7'x6' composite deck built. It leads to a 2nd story Florida room. (Another company just installed a patio in the remaining space). I also had some siding repairs performed due to rot. My entire experience with this company was amazing. It did take a while for them to get to my project, however, I was continually updated as to where I was on the schedule. Any questions I had at anytime were answered to my satisfaction. Definitely would (and have) hire them again! The cost listed is an approximate amount close to what I paid for everything: demo, haul away, repairs, new deck."

"It went well. Dave was very professional to deal with during the construction of our deck and keeping us informed of changes. The carpenters, Cyle and Dakota were fantastic. They built the deck from the footers to completion of railings, decking, privacy panels and steps. They too were very professional, always ready to answer our questions and listen to our input. They showed up early, worked quietly and cleaned up their equipment after every workday. The project was scheduled to take about 3 weeks but because of manufacturing delays in material shipments took about 9 weeks."

"They are so unprofessional and doesn't have good custom service. We have a 3 day project turn into 3 weeks because the guys only work 2 -4 hours a day. And they will fight you on everything and imply that you are wrong when you tell them a certian brick is suppose to be on our project. Now they are refusing to finish the job since they are to lazy to seal my new patio and wont return text phone calls are emails. I had to call and check in the progress everyday because they were gone and didnt give me an update everyday like i was promised soneone would check in every day. Please go somewhere else you will be happier with another company."

"I have been a client of YRL for several years, service has become terrible and they may suddenly gone out of business. Purchased a landscaping package to cover all services through the year. Over the past several months work crews started coming to perform services more and more sporadically and not on schedule. They were last out to my house in October, have missed the last 4 (and counting) service calls including final end of year yard clean up. I have attempted to contact the company via phone (office and owner) and email and have received zero responses. Just had to open up a BBB complaint against them."

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in London, OH

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
