"First he did a stress test on the computer to be sure it was worth repairing, cleaned the interior, installed a new fan and a second hard drive.  Then he removed a virus, installed Windows 7 OS, Microsoft Office, ccleaner, spybot.  Temporarily installed a program that allowed me to delete all of the multiple copies of my photos that the virus had created.  Recommended and installed a 5 year antivirus program that was $156.00 (about $32 per year, seemed reasonable to me).  Followed up multiple times to be sure
that  I and my husband were happy with the results and assure us that we were welcome to call him with questions at any time.
I can't forget to mention that he did all of this in 2 days,  picked up my computer Thursday morning and I had it back and working Friday afternoon.
Initially when I checked Angie's List I contacted two PC repair providers willing to come to my home - Tom contacted me almost immediately - which is why I chose him.  He was always right on time when we had appointments - which is a huge pet peeve of mine - and he was friendly and strived to make me more PC savvy than I was when I met him. 
If I bought a new PC tomorrow I would schedule an appointment with Tom to maximize its performance and remove all of the unnecessary junk that is installed by the manufacturer, like I said before this computer has never worked better.
I have to say if I don't use Angie's List again this year that this experience was worth the enrollment fee.
