"The primary reason I hired the contractor was to clean the furnace ductwork. The vacuum equipment they used left a layer of dust in every room in the house and on every surface including the carpet, bedding etc. I've spent 3 days dusting and vacuuming the carpet after the work. I think Steven and Sons is a very good company if you hire them to repair or replace your furnace, however they don't have the proper equipment for duct cleaning."

"Tony was fantastic! As a first time homeowner in a new part of the country, itâ s hard to find people you can trust. Tony is someone I happily trust to take care of my furnace. He came in and repaired any issues he saw. He walked me through all the work he did and even showed me how to better maintain things. I have already booked him to inspect our Central Air unit in the spring. I would highly recommend him!"

"We hired JP to repair our backyard fence and and build a new gate; which had weathered over the years and was falling apart. He recommended relaxing the whole fence, he was right, but we just couldn’t afford all of it right now so he did what we wanted! He promptly replied and got us on his schedule. Upon arrival he was professional, relatable, and passionate about his wide range of services. We got to know him over the few days, and can tell how much he loves his family and why he works so hard! I highly recommend JP and Altitude, we trust him, plus his ability to pretty much do anything is impressive. We also love supporting small local businesses, and are handing his cards out to friends and family. He will be coming back to finish the whole fence, and anything else we need. It’s l been hard to find a reliable handyman, so we’re very happy we found him! "

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Longmont, CO

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
