"Appoved Contractor installed 4 replacement windows in my home. They were extremely professional, working around my schedule and the furniture in my home. Not only were they on time, there were a few minutes early. How refreshing is that for a contractor! They finished the job quickly and cleaned up everything when they left. Aside from the beautiful new windows, you would never know they were there! I highly recommend Approved Contractor. "

"We've been planning on upgrading all windows and do all outdoor painting on our rental property. The nightmare that we experienced in the past with construction/remodeling companies would leave us running away from any project. When we met LG Builders for the first time, the difference between them and the previous contractors, was quite apparent. The meeting was pleasant and informative. There was absolutely NO pressure. They were so professional and seemed to focus on giving us the info and allowing us to decide which option or material was best for us. High quality, responsibility, great work and a better price adds to our total satisfaction. We highly recommend LG Builders for your next house project. They have gone above and beyond to satisfy us and have delivered a beautiful project which exceeds our expectations finishing a more than well done project earlier than expected! The windows and outdoor painting look awesome! The entire house is transformed. We are so happy with this experience and love the new look of our house. ð "

"Raul was very helpful in providing multiple proposals as requested by my insurance company. His initial bid was the lower cost and more secure option that I selected. He showed up on time (8:30 am) with his helper and they did a great job installing the door. Luckily, I had some matching paint for the interior touch-up and you would never tell that the broken door/jam was replaced. I did take off 1/2 a point overall because there was some mis-communication regarding the door I was getting (Raul had mention a metal jam surrounding the door but that style is not available for residential doors) and I feel that the job could have been completed quicker if the worker was not left on his own so much. Around 3 pm Raul reported that they should be done by 4 pm and took off. The job was not completed until 5:30 pm. In fairness, his worker did an excellent job but was very slow."

"We had an amazingly good experience with Brothers! When Mike Cavanaugh came to bid the job, he was professional, courteous and honest, and best of all, he, didn't try to sell me on stuff I didn't want or need. We got a bunch of bids, and his was over $10,000 lower than the highest bid, for windows of the same rating. The windows were ready when promised. The Office Personnel worked with us on scheduling the install, and the installers were incredible! Alex was the team leader, and all 4 of the guys worked together like a well oiled machine. Those guys got 10 windows and a big sliding patio door replaced in just a few hours. They worked hard, were professional, and did a beautiful install job. The windows look so beautiful! They cleaned up every bit of dust and debris, and took it all away. This company has the best service, and their people are the nicest, most professional team imaginable. I highly recommend this company. If I ever decide to replace more windows, I'm calling Brothers."

Ideas & Inspiration from Los Angeles Window Replacement Companies

Los Angeles Window Replacement

Of the various home improvement projects that property owners embark on each year, very few are as practical (or as aesthetically desirable) as window replacement. Los Angeles is certainly one of the best places in the country for an operation like this, as the amount of natural light that enters southern California homes makes a marked difference in their interior appearances. Controlling this natural light can really make a room, and if your existing windows are simply not cutting the mustard, new windows can dramatically enhance the look of any room in the house and can have other benefits, as well.

Getting new windows can definitely make a big difference on the inside of a house, but they can also beautify the outside of your home, too. Increasing curb appeal is always a good thing, and the many options available for window replacement in Los Angeles will ensure that you'll be able to pick just the right models to accent both the interior and exterior of your house.

Though less of a problem in a setting like Los Angeles, window replacement is often done in other parts of the country to keep out cold air during the winter. While L.A. residents probably won't see as marked a difference in heating costs as someone in, say, Alaska—it will still keep the temperature in your home more consistent. New windows are far superior than their predecessors when it comes to heat transfer, and whether you like your living space to be warm or cool, they will keep air that's been set to your liking from escaping (and keep undesired air outside where it belongs).

Los Angeles window replacement is an operation that makes financial sense, too. Before beginning any home improvement project, it is always a good idea to research how much of the construction costs are generally recovered in added resale value for your property. In L.A., window replacement ranks as one of the best, and often recoups 105-111% of construction expenses in additional market value.

There are a wide variety of windows available for anyone thinking about this kind of project. You could certainly choose to simply replace your existing windows with new models of approximately the same dimensions, but if you really want to spice things up, you might consider installing a picture window or a bay or bow window. Installing windows that are larger than standard size is a very delicate operation, and professional installation is always recommended. For the DIYs out there, if you have some carpentry knowledge, installing your own standard-sized windows may be an option.

On average, installing new wood windows costs a little under $13,000 in the L.A. area, and recovers about 107% of construction costs in resale value. Installing vinyl windows is closer to $12,000 on average, and usually recovers about 111%. Prices for large windows or specialty glass vary greatly. Getting several estimates for non-standard windows is a good idea, and may end up saving you a significant chunk of change.
