"We had the BEST service from beginning to end with CAL REP Windows. Jimmy was so knowledgeable and really set my husband and I at ease with the whole process. The installation crew (Roger and another gentleman) was on time, efficient and very courteous. We have had them back twice to replace old windows and a french door and what a difference!!! We will be back for more! Superb Service and Attention to Detail!"

"The crew arrived on time and worked together promptly and efficiently. In hours they took out 10 old aluminum sliders and installed 10 replacement windows. They came back a couple of days later to tear out a useless sliding glass door, build up a wall, and installed a new window. It is SO MUCH COOLER inside now!"

"Amazing customer service! Very professional and affordable. I was referred to Tesla windows through some friends who just had their windows done weeks before. Robert was very pleasant to talk to, easy to work with and extremely professional. He came to my house and quickly measured all 10 of my windows, back door and front door in less than 30 minutes. He was very accommodating and patient with all my questions and made suggestions based on his experience which ended up being a less costly alternative. I got an estimate within a day. My package included the replacement of 10 windows (half of them were large windows), replacement of my back sliding door and the labor of installing my front door (I bought the door and painted it). The quoted price was very reasonable and affordable. Robert had Benjamen and one other guy install 9 windows and my back door. The last window and my front door were installed on a separate day. Benjamin was was very careful about covering all my furniture so the work didn't ruin any of my belongings and also stayed back once the replacement was completed to make sure he put my furniture back to their original place. He was polite and always asked before he did or moved anything. Very much like my experience with Robert, this guy was great and went above and beyond! When I complained of a metal cover on my kitchen island that kept getting loose, he bought extra sealant and helped me seal it in free of charge! When my front door got delivered to the warehouse I bought it from, he offered to help me pick it up because I didn't have a truck as another courtesy. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with these guys. Another plus: All the windows and my back door has a life time warranty. I highly recommend Tesla windows to anyone who wants to replace their old windows."

"Hardy Windows was hired to replace two sliding glass doors and all of our downstairs windows from the original aluminum frames to new vinyl frames. When they first came out the job took double the amount of time we were originally told. The kitchen window was not installed correctly so we had to have them come out again and redo it. The first time it rained the sliding glass door had not been sealed correctly so our dining room carpet got flooded. We called them to have it fixed they came out looked at it said it was our fault and left. So if you like horrible customer service being called a liar and flaky contractors then this is the company for you. I will never recommend this business as we are still trying to get all the water damage caused by the caulking in the sliding door fixed. They are wasting our time."

"I called in the morning and Pedro said he wasn’t too far and could be at my house between 20-30 minutes. He arrived and was very pleasant to talk with and fixed the crack so it would not spread. He actually found an additional crack that we didn’t originally see due to a sticker I had in the inside of the windshield. The work is guaranteed. I would use New Creation Auto Glass again if needed."

"I hired Ben and his company to replace the flooring throughout the whole house, paint the interior and exterior of our house and tear down a wall between kitchen and living room to have an open concept and enlarge our kitchen. I love the design he prepared for us and the results look even better. Thank you for being patience with us. Will definitely use again."

"This review is almost 2 years past due but because of family illness and death I kept putting it off and I greatly apologize for that. In March, 2020, I contacted Progressive after finding out Exodus, a company I hired to install a sliding door in the early 2000s was no longer in business and that the owner now works for Progressive. On a Sunday evening I had a problem closing the door by about 12 inches and left a frantic message on their voicemail. It probably seems silly but it was winter and I had an elderly parent living with me so I was very concerned with the cold even though I did everything I could to cover it up. Before end of business on Monday Progressive came out and fixed the (thankfully) very simple problem and asked for nothing in return. What more can anyone ask for? I will be forever grateful for their assistance."

"We hired AHI to remodel 1 bathroom, paint our interior (with some drywall repair), and install recessed lighting in our home. We began work in early April with an anticipated end date of mid June. The cost of the work was in the middle of the quotes we received. Our experience has been horrible and ended in us ending our contract with AHI and having to hire our own professionals to finish the job as of mid- August when it was still incomplete. -They are not good at communicating. I often would have less than 48 hours notice to get them a piece or material needed or less than a few hours notice that some work was beginning or we needed to come meet them. We had to constantly follow up for updates about the schedule and project. -The first paint crew did not prep at all and painted/ texture sprayed over our outlets, HVAC vents, light switches. They left large drips of paint in multiple locations and got paint/ texture splatter on our flat ceilings, on our windows, and all over our subfloor. The project manager from AHI did not oversee the project an the full home was done before he looked at it. He and foreman agreed the quality was not acceptable and took over a month to schedule a new crew. This crew was better but delayed the project significantly. -Our home was left with 1st floor doors and windows open overnight on multiple occasions. We do not live at the property at the moment but our belongings are there and though we pointed this out to the project manager it happened again. -The crews sent were not managed well- it felt like we got below handyman level quality of work in many areas. In addition to the paint crew they sent someone to paint our bathroom baseboards and he painted all over the wall. The electrician left screws and debris all over brand new wood floors and managed to scratch them plus scratch our new marble in the shower. -They drank beers from our fridge multiple times and left trash all over our home and in front of the house overnight/ for multiple days. We ended the contract with them completely unsatisfied but amicably coming to a financial agreement that settled it. I would strongly recommend that you do not hire AHI unless you are ready to manage the project yourself and be there to supervise their subcontractors as the work is done."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Los Angeles, CA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
