"Wes, was responsible for developing, remodeling, project managing two Opioid Treatment Programs that I operate. This included developing the pharmacies in both. He led and manages the design and build out of 1-2 of my outpatient offices, as well. Additionally, he performed general contracting and remodeling of my personal home. Wes and CleanStone Construction and I are moving forward with a total renovation in Church Hill for late 2020-2021"

"The technician was friendly, professional, prompt, and took adequate time to make sure the job was done right and all our questions were answered. The company offers a Saturday morning service (not too common!) to accommodate working people (wish that had even more Saturdays available). The technician was not there to sell us anything we did not need; he did exactly what we asked in the more professional way. <br />"

"<p>We've used C'ville remodel for 3 different projects on our 1890's home. They are really fun to work with, had excellent ideas to meet our needs, and were never upset when I changed my mind on something!  They were mindful when I wanted to keep the character of our home as the most important part of the project and when I needed to keep the budget as the priority. </p> <p>They took care of all permits and were great working with the city inspectors with some tricky issues.</p> <p>The work is top notch. If they don't do it themselves (only the gas and insulation for my projects) they bring in the best and oversee everything.</p> <p>I have two small children and always felt comfortable with them in my home. </p> <p>2 of the projects came in under budget and 1 on budget but we added a significant amount of work.  All of the projects took about 25-50% longer than they initially quoted us, but I expected this as our house is very old and work is always more complicated than you originally think. My advice is just add at least 30% on to whatever time any contractor says and you'll be good.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>They were also willing to let us do a lot of the work ourselves and were available to give expertise and lend tools when needed.</p> <p>All around we love Joel and Willie and our kids ask frequently when they'll be back.</p> <br />"

"<p>Basically nightmare scenario. I had a price in writing before they began. They started weeks after they were supposed to begin then asked for more money for materials during the project (which I reluctantly agreed to pay even though was fixed price). The project was not completed on time (for a wedding event) and then they came to me with bill for a change order for about 45% over another $4000. (nothing had changed).  Job was sloppy; they splashed mortar on the side of the house, there were cracks were in many mortar joints, overall it was a mess. The brick mason I had come in to clean it up said I should really remove all mortar and start over. He said it was the worst job he had ever seen!!!</p> <p>Best of all they filed a civil suit to try to get more money. I had to waste time going to court. I had owed them $700, which I was willing to pay just to be done with it. The judge basically threw them out, said I should pay $360. Unfortunately since I didn't have a affidavit or witness he did not take into account cost for me to have it redone. Brick mason said it would be $3800 to fix it.</p> <p>I usually don't like to be negative but I wish someone would have warned me about these guys. <br /> <br /> </p> (I wish there was a way to paste photos)"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Louisa, VA

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
