"Mike, the owner, has been absolutely fantastic to work with throughout this process. This project had a lot of moving parts, but throughout it all, Mike was always very helpful in providing the pros and cons of different options, along with always freely sharing his technical expertise, so I always felt that he was listening to what I had to say and helping me make the best decision for my situation and budget. Mike consistently provided me with candid, and realistic, feedback and recommendations, that were super helpful as we put together the design and implementation plan for this work. Initially, the plan was to do the rewiring from the upstairs, which would have required quite a few holes to be drilled in the apartment, which would require additional work and repairs. However, once I approached Mike about making the downstair ceiling accessible, he was able to provide me an updated, and less expensive, quote that was completed with only a single, small, wall cut that was repaired flawlessly. Once the job started, the professionalism, technical expertise and timeliness that Mike had consistently exhibited, continued with the 3-4 person crew that spent a couple weeks at my home. They were always very approachable when I had questions, great listeners when I had issues or concerns, very timely and hardworking, extremely respectful of the tenants space and, every single day, they would leave both the apartment, and the downstairs area, very clean and organized. In summary, my experience with FSE has been nothing short of outstanding for this extensive, complex, and diverse rewiring job. "I had a lot of work done… Sub panel, level 2 charger, light switches single, 3 way and smart switches… over 15 switches) and a home surge protection too. It took a day and a half and the two technicians who came (Brett Fetzer & Steven Marquardt) were great to interact with. I did my best to keep out of their hair while they were doing the installations. Both took the time to keep me informed about each of the installation projects when I asked. "I was very pleased by the quick response to my and request for a bid. I was a bit surprised by the estimated cost, but there does seem to be a shortage of qualified electricians available in this area now so "it is what it is". I did NOT like the way the wiring was installed: instead of removing a strip of drywall and drilling through the center of the studs to fish the wire, they cut out multiple circles of drywall (approx 3-4? in diameter), gouged a channel in the outside of the studs, installed the wire and then covered it with a protective metal plate. The result was that the drywall repair was much more difficult than it should have been! Every circle had to be cut down by the thickness of the metal plate and then refitted into one of the holes drilled by the electrician. We could not cut out the holes and insert a single piece of wallboard because the plates were too thick. All employees (Erin, Daniel, and Stephen) were very professional and polite. I would use them again, but be more involved in the installation."

"In our three bedrooms, Switch Electric installed new electrical ceiling boxes, appropriate controls, and ceiling fans (with lights). We also had them convert three outlets from being switched to unswitched. Also, in one room, we had them add a dimmer and a track lighting ceiling box. (We then installed the track lighting ourselves.) Additionally, per Redmond electrical code, then install arc-fault protection. The work required working in the attics. We supplied the fan/lights (from Seattle Lighting in Bellevue). They charged no dispatch fee and were in the middle on price compared to two other estimates. They were also the only one to include the legally required Redmond electrical inspection. On the workday, they arrived with a team of three in the morning. Their work was professional and neat. We noticed two small problems caused by miscommunications. They cheerfully come back for an hour and fixed the problems. The work passed Redmond inspectional easily. We love the fans and the lights and highly recommend Switch Electric."
