"Owner and helper (son?) were on-time and efficient in replacing the worn parts in my twenty year old door.  It now glides open with a gentle push instead of having to be yanked.  They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite in doing the work.
I thought the $325 was a bit high for this job but I didn't have time to get another quote.  I have since seen their advertisement in the local paper for a "Summer Special" of a Regular Roller Repair for $99 which I believe is more in-line with other vendors.  Although my job did require a track replacement which added a bit more cost and complexity to the job.

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Unfortunately, Rafael forgot the appointment. Fortunately, once called, he got a serviceman over to us right away so that there was only a 30 minute delay. The serviceman (blanking on his name) was pleasant, professional and skilled. I am happy with the outcome. All good. I will use them again. I will confirm the appointment earlier than the day of."

"They were the highest bid. They were very timely. They got things done in a hurry. The kitchen is beautiful and everything they do. They take a lot of pride in their work. They know what they are doing and they are very scientific about how they go about it. You just have to trust them and it is beautiful. What you end up with is spectacular. The price was high. I don't think he listened to me when I tried to explain that I hadn't decided on what kind of window I wanted. I think that we had communication problems. They followed their schedule very carefully. They kept busy. The fellow in charge tries hard."

"I hired Yari based on positive Angie's List reviews.  Overall, I'd give him a luke warm rating, and MIGHT use him again, though would probably investigate some other options first.  The work done overall was good, however...

The clean-up was poor.  There was a LOT of small broken tile bits and dust left over after they replaced the kitchen tiles.  I have cats (as they saw), and they could have very easily tracked sharp small bits of broken tile on their paws from the loads of it left on the kitchen floor and in the grooves where the grout is.  When they repaired the broken stucco outside, they left dust and debris at the site and obviously threw the remaining water/plaster/mortar/whatever mix through a fence and into my neighbor's yard (am going to try and attach pix - I think I can do that here).  The price he quoted me was for parts and labor ASSUMING I had all those parts already.  I had to go myself with one of his workers to a nearby plumbing supply store to pick up needed items.

He was very responsive in person and by phone, and very cordial and prompt.  The work was decent enough.  I don't know enough about home repairs and contracting to know how fair the price was, but it seemed to be in the ballpark.

Overall recommendation : Proceed, but with caution, and make sure you're clear from the outset what exactly your needs are and what exactly he's promising to provide.  And make sure they clean up properly before leaving."

"Lev helped us troubleshoot and deal with the issue over the phone. First, he had us call the city to check the pressure and perhaps install a regulator if it is too high on their end. So I did. City came out and guy said, "Standard pressure is 50 to 80 and this is not a high pressure area." He checked on the closest outside faucet and said, "Yup, 84. That's normal. 100 would be high." I let him know my home inspector when we purchased the house recommended we get a regulator. "If you want a regulator, that's on you. The pressure is not high." Ok. That was a bit short. He didn't ask questions, didn't check other things. I didn't know what else to say. So he left. Not very helpful -- 84 or not, it is clearly too high. When the shower water comes out like a jet engine and everything starts to leak a little, it is too high. Period. I am not crazy. Reference.com says 80 is the maximum for a residence ("should not exceed"); average range is 40-80. I am not crazy. I can tell it's too high because I live here and use it everyday. I called Lev back. He listened to what the guy said. He agreed that it wasn't super high, but a regular wouldn't hurt and would help plumbing last longer (exactly what home inspector said). He had me take a couple pictures and text him so he knew what he would be dealing with before driving out, so I did. He gave some advice said he could install a regulator if necessary. But first I turned some valves, we texted back and forth a bit, he sent me some pictures back of what it should look like, and presto. Pressure is less jet-engine strong and feels just right! Lev gave great advice. He listened thoughtfully. He was kind. And he offered his help and expertise. He was not short and rude with me (like the city guy was). What a true professional! And he didn't even charge, even though took a few minutes of his time, which is almost a crime. I owe him! I will definitely call Lev next time I need help. What a good old fashioned true professional. Hard to find these days. Thank you, Lev!"

"They guys that came out worked very clean and with very little noise....when they were finished installing they painted the piping along the roof as well as along the house the same colors, matched perfectly. then the electrician came out after the inspector gave his  approval, finished the clean up and completed the panel install, same thing,  he repaired and replaced any damaged stucco the same color as the house, perfectly....they all worked clean and were very professional very happy with the worked performed.

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Lucerne Valley, CA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
