John D Cushing Antique Restoration
Over 40 years of experience in furniture repair and restoration. Most of the work is done by hand, using traditional 19th & 20th c. woodworking tools & techniques. The primary goal is to repair and preserve original structural elements whenever possible. Traditional hot, hide glue is normally used to reassemble loose furniture joints and reattach loose veneers. Occasionally modern epoxy resins are used to bond parts that are badly fragmented or have been improperly repaired before.
