"We purchased the air conditioner tune up "big deal" for $66 as system was not running efficiently.  Bill Kaiser contacted me early the next day to tell me he could come out next week.  I called him and explained that the A/C was no longer putting out cool air and asked if he could come sooner.  He walked me through some items to check which included cleaning the coils with a hose.  When that didn't work he came out later the same day and we discussed a possible bad compressor or system replacement costing up to $4,200 but it turned out only to be the capacitor.  It cost me $48 and he had one on the truck.  It was 90° today so we're pretty happy. <br /> Bill told me he always tries to solve the problem over the phone before making a service call.  With 120 competitors in the area his philosophy is to keep his customers forever.  I think he has one here. <br />"

"Quality of product installed and workmanship I am pleased with. However, post install is why I have deemed necessary to leave this review. The crew left food waste in our yard and gutters. Lawn was not adequately swept for nails and staples. Upon reinstalling my TV antenna, observed pieces of shingle, siding, aluminum flashing, nails and staples in one gutter. This prompted me to inspect all gutters, where I found more of the same. Had two exhaust vents installed for bathroom fans. The crew did not leave necessary couplers to connect provided duct to vents in attic. The project manager provided necessary couplings by personally delivering to my house which I am appreciative of. Discovered packaging material from shingles, along with shingle remnants in my attic. The sales presentation and documentation was why I chose Palmer Construction over lowest bidder, about $5000. The owner and sales person have yet to reply to my emails and/or phone messages. The project manager is the only staff who contacted me and followed up. Not how I would run my business or manage my staff. They also jeopardized an opportunity to earn an additional project. I got a new roof which hopefully will last until I move and they got my money."

"f it, Tread mill put up efficiently.  Not too much involved there.  Screens quickly put in.  Power washing done by his hired help.  That was quickly and well done. <br /> <br /> Cement work well done.  However he threw the remains of the cement material into a flower garden next to driveway.  I dug it out and he did come to take it away when I called and requested he do that. <br /> <br /> Insulation well done.  He initiated the foam insulation around the faucet pipe which was a good idea.  There was a wind entering the stair way going upstairs above this area and it seems to have stopped since this insulation was put in. <br /> <br /> The aluminum on the stairway was a good idea since anything delivered or carried up or down the stairs bumps this area and dry wall would have just gotten damaged again. <br /> <br /> The painting was a big job since it is likely that the basement had not been painted for 30 years or more.  He got impatient to be done with job and this seemed to hurry up his helper too much. The line between white walls and grey floors was pretty sloppy and one window well had very little paint at all.  He came back to touch up these areas at my request.  I suggested to him that he ask his helper to get his eyes checked.  I would not want him painting in the upper part of the house. <br /> <br /> I was glad to get all this work done.  Sometimes it seemed that he was complaining.  For example, more paint was needed than he originally purchased.  At first when he would state problems about things like this I thought he was saying this was some big deal to which he couldn't find a solution because it was so difficult.  But I learned to ignore the complaint aspect of it and just take the positive point of view, always look for, and reinforce the positive. <br /> <br />"

"It went fine. He was 15-20 minutes late which was ok. He quoted me 25.00 an hour, had the faucet replaced in 30 minutes. He was here maybe an hour and charged us 50.00. I didn't realize the time till after he had left, but that wasn't 25.00 an hour."
