"Of the three contractors recommended by Angie’s List, Ryan Poulton was the only contractor to contact me. He did so within 24 hours of my request, and was able to give us a quote based on photos sent to him. He was able to come in and do the work within two days. The job appeared to be more time consuming than he had anticipated, but he did not complain or ask for a change in price. The work was done very professionally. The repaired areas were blended very well with the furiniture, so much so it’s hard to tell the difference. Overall very satisfied with the response, professionalism and quality of the work. Will use this contractor again."

"Fantastic. We moved into our new home in November, and had the carpets cleaned. Most of the carpet is white, and had pet stains and odors. They did a great job. Next time we needed them cleaned, for some stupid reason, we used a different company. It didn't go well. Then I saw an ad for a discount with a third company, and again, it didn't go well. We had Summit back out in August, as we were preparing for a large family event. They did a great job, and we won't ever use anyone else. Also, they left a bottle of spot remover for us. Today we had our dogs groomed, and the groomer nicked a foot. We had blood spots all over the white carpet. The Summit spot cleaner removed all the blood spots from our white carpet, in just a few minutes."

"It went beautifully from start to finish. Excellent product choices, and quot;cut aboveand quot; decor recommendations and complete satisfaction with his work. We consider Rafael a craftsman, rather than a carpenter. People often slow their vehicles to take in the beauty of our and quot;magicand quot; cottage -style home. We often recommend him as a qualified, detail-oriented builder.. <br />"

"Over several months, Brady did a major house remodel on ranch property that we own.  Mostly exterior, including foundation and addition work, but some interior work as well.  Brady can do it all - and performed beyond expectations (and my wife and I tend to be demanding)!  Not only is he skillful at his trade, but he  is honest and a good communicator.  We never felt that projects were coming out wrong because he didn't understand what we wanted.  He also shows up when he says he will, or calls (rarely needed to ) ahead of time with a good reason for not being able to make it (the bane of contractors is "no show/no call", so Brady's reliability is a real virtue). His fees were reasonable, and my wife and I agree that the value of his work is exceptional.  Had we not stumbled across the right home ready to move into, we were planning on buying a lot and having Brady build us a new one from scratch. And he is a good guy! My name is Steve and you can reach me at 541-410-7499 if you have any questions about our experience with Brady.  We give him 5 Stars!"

"We just finished our inspection of the repairs and we were delighted with the result.  Everything was fixed using the materials we specified and the workmanship was exemplary.  There were even a few instances where Spectrum used better materials and more labor than estimated and they ate this cost themselves in the interest of getting the best result.  Using photos taken when the damage occurred, Spectrum replaced all furniture in the house to its original location.  Every decoration, photo and knick knack was positioned exactly as it was before the damage. I spent the time writing this long letter because I am delighted by Spectrum’s work.  I went from not knowing anyone at Spectrum and knowing nothing about their work, to now where I am a strong advocate.  My advice to anyone who is thinking of managing the work themselves is …let Spectrum do it.  You will save more time and will save money too.  Spectrum’s quality service, experience and relationships with contractors and materials vendors will payoff in the end. I told Spectrum that they can have any of their prospective customers call me and I mean that.  My cell phone number is 503-704-3719.  I will be happy to answer any questions about Spectrum and the work they did at our Sunriver house."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Madras, OR

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
